“Wonderful Montana woods experience”

We were so pleased with our recent stay at the Izaak Walton Inn. We loved the train theme with the caboose rooms set in the woods and the decorations around the lodge. There is even a nice gift shop. The lobby seemed so comfortable and probably a great place to sit around the fire. It was quiet at the Inn and fun when a train went by-everybody waves. The train even stops at the Inn. There is a wonderful dining room with the possibility of eating on the porch. We had some fluffy pancakes for breakfast and dinner was terrific with a scrumptious berry dessert. The waitresses were so friendly and the front desk staff, too. We would definitely recommend a stay at Izaak Walton after or before visiting Glacier National Park maybe.

“Excellent Stay”

Great location, rooms were cozy and was refreshing not to have the phones and TV's. I don't understand how anyone would have complaints about that as the website states pretty clearly that is what to expect. All other travel review sites indicate as much about the INN. I can agree with other reviews that the Customer Service could do with some polishing. The waitstaff in the restaurant was not really that friendly nor that quick and this was with only 6 couples in the room Sunday morning.

“Delightful Inn”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Isaak Walton. Talk about comfy ambience - It was charming. Our room was pretty small, but that was part of the fun, with the amoire door pulls, towel racks and lamps made with railroad spikes. Even when the weather turned misty we sat on the covered porch with our hot chocolate or coffee and watched the trains go by. Food in the dining room was very good. A tour group was a bit loud, but we retreated to the basement bar for a card game and tunes on the juke box. Lots of old photos on the walls, but I especially liked the photos of train wrecks! Impressive.
