“Enjoyable stay”

Extremely comfortable clean rooms well equiped and suitable for familys. The family room has a doulble and a double sofa bed for the children. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Lovely breakfast which is included with enough to cater for both adult and childrens tastes. Easy access to colchester and hotel has free parking. We were vey pleased with our choice.

The hotel, and the room, was clean, modern and attractive. The room facilities were excellent, and the inclusive breakfast, while limited, was more than adequate. The hotel can only be accessed from the A12 driving towards Colchester and is tucked away behind a Shell garage. Poor signage to find it. Otherwise strongly recommended.

Everything was good, the bed a bit wobbly but apart from that it was very good!

“Holiday Inn Express Dedham Colchester”

We had a very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Express at Dedham, Colchester. I would suggest though that a sign for the hotel is placed at the roundabout as it is hidden from view by trees and the lie of the land. I woud certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

This hotel is immaculate. The only reason I gave it 4/5 was the location. As a family it would have been more useful to be a bit closer to Colchester. Staff were wonderful.

“Good night's stay”

Was an overnight stay that was required and this met the criterion very well. It is a new hotel and everything is what you would expect of a Holiday Inn Express.

Very clean rooms and quiet situation.general condition of the hotel was very good.wi fi too expensive though

“Room for improvement.”

We enjoyed our stay but there were 3 areas which could be improved; 1. Even with a Sat Nav the hotel was difficult to find - no signage off A12. 2. There was no Teletext facility on the TV handset. 3.The cleaning staff smoking at the Hotel entrance was an irritance from time to time!

“Holiday Inn Express, Colchester”

The room was very small, clothes could be hung up but we had to use the spare sofabed as a storage space for jumpers etc. The bed was much too bouncy and small for us. In fact, my husband nearly fell out it was so small. Didn't really appreciate having to pay for the internet, £7.99 seemed a but steep. The shower was great and had lots of space which we like. The room was almost as far as you could walk but it was quiet that end and the receptionist had changed the room for us so that we weren't near the front door, where it could have been noisy. The breakfast was awful and if we stay again, we would go elsewhere. It was hard to find, we spent a lot of time going up and down the A12! A little bit disappointing that there was no signpost especially when other hotels in the area had them. On the whole it served its purpose.
