Clean and friendly staff, would stay again
The staff here is very friendly and nice and helpful. The breakfast is good. The rooms are clean and nice. The bed / pillows are not the most comfortable and the shower is outdated. I would stay here again though. Big rooms and always clean

Germany to meet friends
I went to meet my friends from Germany. This hotel is close to the railway station and the city centre. I think it is a very good value for money hotel. I enjoyed my stay.

Pretty good hotel
The hotel was very clean and nice and the rooms were spacious. I found parking and breakfast both expensive. The pillows were flat and terrible. The bed wasn't the most comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food at breakfast was good. Overall would stay here again but bring my own pillow!

Nice hotel near the train station. Short walk to restaurants, shopping and pubs. Very friendly staff. Rooms are nicely designed with a local flair.

Standard mecure hotel close to train station
This is probably the best hotel in Bochum, must based on the lack of quality alternatives. It is still room for improvement regarding gym/fitness opportunities. The the overall view is a standard Mecure hotel with very good location close to the train station!

We have stayed here on numerous occasions. Checkin was slow, the bar and restaurant were closed for the 1st night and then Saturday until the evening! Normally the staff are great but lots of new faces and not the normal service,

Secure Mercure
The hotel was very welcoming & most of the staff spoke very good English. The room was ample & comfortable, if i was to pick flies, the shower was over the tall bath with a fixed screen. I am disabled, but I managed to shower with help. The breakfast was excellent, anything & everything was there to eat, & as a coffee lover, that was top drawer. Nothing was too much trouble for them, plus its 24 hour so someone is always on hand if you need assistance. The hotel itself is situated in the heart of the city, where everything is easy to walk to e.g rail, bus & taxi. Would stay there again 👍

Two nights in Bochum
I went to Bochum for a couple of nights to see my German friends.They took me to a football match on the Saturday. All in the hotel is clean and comfortable. The breakfast area is nice with a good choice.The hotel is very central and is opposite the railway station.

LOCATION IS GREAT. FOOD IS FANTASTIC. ROOM CLEANSES IS NOT VERY GOOD. THE SAFE WAS BROKEN EVEN WE ASK TO REPAIR IT DAY AFTER DAY. THE BATHTUB FAUCET WAS HARD TO ADJUST. THE WEIGHT AT THE BATHROOM WAS BROKEN, WAS REPAIRED AFTER TWO TIME WE ASKED.

Very friendly crew. Very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is closed on Sundays, which is kinda weird, especially when you leave town in the late afternoon

Good hotel, very convenient
Very convenient location with good parking. The room was pretty good, but a little warm. The gym is nice but very small. Breakfast was excellent. The staff is very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Bochum.

A very comfortable hotel in the middle of Bochum
We enjoyed our stay in Bochum a great deal: it was good to see old friends and, especially, stay in a very comfortable hotel right across from the train station. My only concern was that the remote control on the TV set was not working properly, but we had hardly any time to watch TV, so it was simply a minor irritation. Otherwise, very good -- and especially pleasant because of the friendly and kind people working in the hotel. Much appreciated.

Better than most other places you can stay in Bochum. Right outside the main train station, next to Bermuda triangle so very convenient for food and shopping and transport. Biggest complaint is the beds are a bit hard and very soft pillows but you can get extra comforters. The gym is small. They have a sauna but you have to pay for use.

Good hotel, great staff.
We travelled to Bochum to attend a university graduation. The hotel was large, with an open, impressive reception area. The staff were immediately welcoming and very friendly. Check in was fast. The room was clean and comfortable - not as modern as the recoeption area, but had everything we needed. Staff were great. We travelled with our toddler, and struggled to find fresh milk when we were out one evening - the hotel staff were really helpful, and gave us some milk. A small gesture, but made a big difference to us... and our thirsty baby!

Delightful annual stay
Every year in October I stay at the Bochum Mercure. Always a cheerful greeting at check in and the room is always spotless. The breakfasts are a true delight with plenty of choice. The bar is well stocked and the barmen friendly and unassuming. Overall service is swift and unobtrusive. It's like a second home.

The least bad in Bochum
Ok hotel for Bochum but nothing to write home about. Check-in was painfully slow but the room was ok and breakfast pretty decent. It's quiet despite the central location.

No Complaints
Just a one night stay. Check-in and check-out was quick. Service was clinical but not unfriendly. The area was ok. Near shopping and the HBF; so convenient.

Not much else to choose
This is ok as not much choice around. Downside was tha coffee machine didn't work, and wasn't fixed, neither was any coffee provided so that is academic in any case. I was in a single room and the duvet didn't even cover the bed, not satisfactory. I have stayed here before in another room and it was much better without the problems mentioned above. Provision of a computer and printer in the lobby was great, and most useful.
