“Excellent location”
Stay on the second floor and everything will be great. Make sure your bathroom has a tub shower combination, not just a shower with a drain
“Photography weekend getaway”
Biggest complaint was smoky smell in non-smoking room and matress was broken down
“Convenient Location”
Close to everything we were looking for. Hotel needs upgrading and improvement although our room was good. The second floor was pretty much closed down and had buckets down the hall to catch the water leaking from the roof. Needs upgrading but it looks like they may have started them as there were garbage bins in the parking lot. Friendly and helpful staff. I would stay there again.
“Don't book this hotel!”
Not a 3-star hotel as it says. It's a 1.5 to 2-star hotel. A very noisy hotel. You could hear neighbours coughing, taking bath, watching TV and opening doors, etc.
“Would go back”
Was in Watkins Glen for a race. Hotel is about 30 min from track. Not a lot of night life in Painted Post
“Perfectly acceptable”
The hotel is located on a modest shopping "strip". It appears to be reasonably well maintained, the room was clean and large. the internet was irregular and very slow, hard even to open a news or weather page. No breakfast service, but a family restaurant across the street provided a good breakfast. There were a few dinner options close by. The hotel was full of contractors and pickup trucks.
“Value for money”
For a long weekend retreat to the Finger Lakes area, this hotel is very comfortable and carries all the basic amenities. We found it good value for the dollars spent in the region. It's location makes it easy to reach a number of different places in the region.
“Mediocre Hotel”
I would recommend this hotel with qualification. The rooms were better than anticipated based on the overall outside appearance of the hotel. However, the hallways are dingy. Also, the walls are paper thin. When we entered our room, we could hear the radio in the room next door loud and clear. Also, the room keys did not work well. We had to have them re-set more than once over the course of a 2-day stay. We did not spend a lot of time in the room, so it was OK.

Billed twice. Once by expedia, once by the hotel.
“Clean room, rest of place is falling apart”
The hallway was grungy but the room was nice and clean and had been remodelled. The staff was friendly but they all took frequent smoke breaks right in front of the main lobby which made the place look kind of seedy. There was a loud bang every time someone closed the door by the stairwell. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked very well. The cleaning staff did a great job on our room. I would not recommend the restaurant - it is better to eat breakfast in the cafe across the street. Our room did not have a fridge or microwave which would have been nice for an extended stay. This Ramada definitely has seen better days, but it was adequate for our needs.
