“An outstanding experience”
Staff and venue were second to none. A warm and welcoming experience. Have been to other venues in South Pacific but Vanuatu clearly is out in front.
“Family resort hotel”
Excellent hotel for family with very good staff and range of activities
“10/10 choice”
Great stay experience, one of the nicest resorts in V. Excellent for kids all ages, all you can eat food buffet for a reasonable price, if you compere to other restaurants on the island.
“Loving Le Lagon”
Great hotel for the resort holiday. Fabulous location, great pools and bar areas, very scenic surrounds and beautiful gardens. Stayed in lagoon superior rooms on the top floor (525-526) and could not fault the location. Probably the furthest from the pool area but I think this would be good during high season if you want a quiet room. Staff service was incredible. The whole place is really clean and well maintained. Hoards of staff keep the gardens and inside neat and tidy. Food is pretty good if a little pricey. Theme nights in the main restaurant change every night. Wind Ginger restaurant very nice and meals are generous. You can take a taxi into town or a bus if you walk outside the resort grounds. If I came back to Vanuatu I would definitely stay here again.
“Amazing Le Lagon!!!!”
If you are going to read any reviews, read this one. It was our second visit to beautiful Vanuatu and our first stay at Le Lagon. We can't say enough about the service, all the staff made our stay a wonderful experience. Great place for children and for couples as there is plenty of room for everyone without being too crowded. I unfortunatley was sick for day & a half and had to see a doctor. The resort had an extremely quick response to my needs and the doctor I saw in town was fantastic and adjoining the clinic was a chemist. Helpful information if needing a doctor #close to Waterfront Bar & Grill left hand side going out of town#. Wild Ginger at Le Lagon was lovey. The pool bar and the lounge bar -Best Margaritas in town! The pools were fantastic. New Years Eve celebration was spectacular and the spread of food -amazing! Huge fireworks display, dancing, fire display and local muso who sang and played great music. Stay at Le Lagon if planning a Christmas and New Years Eve trip!!! You will not be glad you did. Rooms were well maintained and bedding was comfortable. We had a lagoon room, superb. Seriously though, you only go to your room to sleep. There is too much to see and do, and that just at Le Lagon!!! It says everywhere on the net etc that tipping is discouraged, but as any where in the world, to include Australia, if service is fantastic, then if you feel like tipping, do so. I can not fault this hotel, it was a wonderful family holiday and we will return.
“Only small complaints....otherwise happy!”
Was a great hotel, only small complaints like in our room we had ants that would not go away!! they were on a spare bed where we kept our suitcase but was annoying brushing them off everyday! Food was nice but very expensive, we dined in wild ginger as Id read that it was amazing food but was very average, my husband had a pad thai that had no flavour but chilli and I had lobster that was so strong with ginger and soy you could almost not eat it!! it was a let down for the price. Also they didnt have the buffet breakfast during the week you just ordered off a menu which hubby didnt like as he wanted a bit of everything seeing as we had paid for the buffet which is fair enough! Otherwise the hotel is stunning great location and beautiful people.
“loved every minute will return lovely friendly people”
loved every minute, loved the pools, very friendly people, excellent service
“Excellent”
We had a 5 day stay here and it was everything I expected. It lived up to all the information available on it's web site, definately recommended.
“Best location, right on Erakor Lagoon!”
About 15 minutes from airport, about 5-10 minutes by bus/taxi from Port Vila center. Hotel is located right on Erakor lagoon - best location compared to other hotels on the island I have seen. Views are towards jungle on other side of water and tiny Erakor island situated in the lagoon. Property is very well maintained, has a great cascading pool with swim up bar. This is a coral island and therefore not all beaches are sand. The hotel does not have a beach, but a large sand area with chairs and a beach volley set up. Access to lagoon is via stairs into the water. Great watersports center. Take out a Kanoe and expore the lagoon, or take a katamaran (easy) and take advantage of the sea breeze. Water is sparkling hues of blues and greens with all colors of starfish, coral and small reef fish. Breakfast has nice selection of fruit, cereal and hot foods. There is also an omelette station. For lunch you can eat at the pool grill and for dinner either at the buffet or at Wild Ginger (Japanese fusion), although I recommend exploring the great eateries in and around town, such as Vila Chaumieres. This trip has been a great experience and the hotel was excellent.
“Still a beautiful place, twenty years later!”
Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location on Erakor lagoon. The tropical gardens are superb. We had an avocado tree outside our room, a banana tree, a mango and a papaya tree closeby and lots of beautiful flowers. Any problems were solved very quickly. The airconditionner in one of our 2 garden deluxe interconnecting rooms broke down and we were moved to new rooms, one of which was a spa deluxe room. We ate at Wild Ginger 3 times. The reef lobster done in the wok was so good I had it 3 times. Excellent value at 33,000 vatu. I'm not a buffet fan but we enjoyed 'carvery night'. Drinks were good, try the fresh squeezed lime juice or the frozen alcoholic slushies at the pool bar. Kayaks and other non motorised water sports were free and, at 15,000 vatu each, a 5 minute trip out to the reef for over an hour snorkelling was amazing value.
