Very comfortable hotel with Smittys Restaurant and indoor swimming pool with slide Great family hotel

“Excellent location, decent hotel”

Our room was extremely comfortable and clean. The only issue that we had was with the elevator as it was a little 'shakey.' We were instantly upgraded to a fridge/microwave room because our room was not ready and the receptionist gave me a free west ed mall coupon book for our inconvenience. The staff was great and even left me a voicemail in the room asking us if the room was to our satisfaction. The location of the hotel is great and only takes about five minutes maximum to get to the Mall. It is also located on a very convenient roadway with everything from a walmart, strip mall, olive garden, and red lobster. If you can look passed the 'dated' look of the hotel, it is definitely worth the stay for a good price.

Kept my son well occupied during a recent visit to Edmonton. Room was comfortable and room was quiet.

“Great business and family hotel!”

This hotel is one that I would recommend for business and families. There is a Smitty's restaraunt on site and a waterpark, hot tub and pool. The food was up to Smitty's standard. The staff was helpful and friendly. Because the elevator was down, they looked after getting my luggage to the room on the fourth floor. I did not spend a great deal of time as I was attending meetings elsewhere. But all in all, I was very satisfied with my stay there.

i always stay at the travelodge edmonton west.friendly staff and very accomodating would recommend.only thing was i did not get a smoking room but can do without.excellent room at a cheap rate

“Looking forward to coming back!”

Both my kids and I really enjoyed the hotel. Pleasantly surprised as the hotel has so many poor reviews. The room was clean, large enough, had fridge and microwave as requested, beds comfortable, internet service available for wireless use, front desk persons helpful and polite, kids enjoyed the pool and water slide, however, hot tub being serviced so not available. The only thing I noticed was that the carpets in the hall way had some bubbles in it, so possible risk for persons to trip and fall. For a decent price per night, I would highly recommend this hotel to others and will be back!

time to up date the hotel a little. But it was clean. People were nice. The water in the pool was a bit cool for the kids, same with the water slide.

“Good for the price”

The hotel itself seems quite old and not in the best of conditions but overall it's really not bad for what you're paying. The hallways smell strongly of smoke but we were plesantly surprised to find that the room itself didn't share the smell. The rooms are small and plain but have everything that you need in a minimal amount of space. Beds were quite comfortable and the pool was awesome! Hotel was a great value if you can get passed the minor imperfections!

“"Cheap and great location"”

I didn't go to Edmonton hoping to stay at a 5-star hotel. I just wanted to spend some time shopping and not waste a lot of money with accommodation. I got just that with travelodge. It was cheaper staying there and getting a cab to West Edmonton Mall or catching the bus, than staying in other hotels in the city. I reccommend this hotel if you don't have high expectations about the place you're staying. The rooms were small, but clean. And that's pretty much all you can expect for the great price.

“An economical hotel with GREAT SERVICE”

The service at this hotel was very surprising; because the party I was travelling with was running five hours behind schedule. I called the hotel to let them know our check in time would be substancially later. When we arrived after midnight the gentleman at the front counter immediately greated me by name and said that they were expecting us. The rooms were very basic, the decor was dated, but everything was clean and tidy. At no time over the course of the four nights that we stayed any request we made whether it was for extra blankets or towels, room service or directions did we have to wait, and every staff member seemed geniunely happy to be there. The hotel was attatched to a Smitty's; the staff members there were equally as nice. The first morning I went there and ordered four cups of coffee to go; the next morning I went down again, I was greated immediately and was asked if I wanted the four coffees to go again. This happened the next two mornings as well. Overall if you are going to Edmonton to do a little bit of shopping and are not needing to go down town this is a very economical choice with great service.
