“A great escape as expected!”
Great ambiance, good service, nice amenities! Will definitely go back. Valet parking must, very nice doormen - a little on the expensive side. Overall much impressed and will definitely go back. The Jameses
“Awesome customer service”
The room was very spacious, quiet, clean and full of amenities....but the thing that stood out was that I needed some cold medication to help me sleep, and went down to the front desk around 12:30am. They took me down to the gift shop, opened it up and pulled some NyQuil off the shelf for me. Talk about 'above and beyond!'. Will stay there again!
“Very nice architecture and accommodation”
Rooms are nice and clean comfy beds and quaint but smaller than I had anticipated. Service was friendly and accommodating, we had a lovely stay, the pool area and gym are very nice. be aware that your rate does not Include 30 valet parking or Internet :)
“Platinum Level Hotel for Edmonton”
The Hotel Macdonald offers the visitor a superior level of service and amenities, totally unexpected for the Edmonton area. Very well located for business in the downtown core and well situated as a base for visits in the area. The staff are exceptional in their dealings with clientele. Take the time for lunch on the patio in the summer and enjoy a beverage in the lounge after your day's visits.
“Another Fairmont Gem”
I have stayed in this Hotel quite a few times and I love this building. Service is great. Staff recognizes me and service is great. It is like a piece of history.
“Beautiful Old hotel.. I will go back and stay there”
Fantastic old hotel. Canadian history really. I will go back for sure. Only complaint is that in a hotel of this caliber, the bartender should be able to make a proper "Old Fashioned" like all the other Fairmont hotels..
“Nice hotel”
Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Valet parking attendants were prompt and polite. Pool and hot tub were nice.
“Fairmont - you can't go wrong”
Lovely historic hotel in the heart of Edmonton. Near excellent dining, Shaw Conference Centre and the North Saskatchewan River. Definitely take the free upgrade to a Fairmont President's Club membership for extra perks. Parking isn't a lot more to use the valet, so go with it.
“Excellent Service”
Excellent hotel with very attentive service. Close to many great restaurants. (highly recommend Ruth Chris Steakhouse a block away) Great downtown location with river views. Staff was very attentive and professional.
“Edmonton best hotel”
Fairmont hotel Macdonald is a very nice hotel . The suites are large and very comfortable . The hotel staff are friendly and nice . The location is right in the middle of Edmonton downtown though I couldn't go out much because of much snow outside. I'll go back my next trip . I enjoyed the grand piano at the hotel hall way b/c i got to play it to entertain the other hotel's guests . They showed their appreciation !
