“What's Not To Love”
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were wonderful. Our bathroom door was a little fussy about locking at times but I can live with that. Loved the hote. And the breakfast was wonderful as well.
“Edmonton Elegance”
We love Fairmonts, and this is the friendliest one we have ever stayed at- great service!
“It was what we'd hoped for.”
This was everything we'd hoped for. Thanks to Expedia we got a good deal, otherwise we wouldn't normally be able to afford it. It was well worth, we'd definitely go back.
“Beautiful Old hotel.. I will go back and stay there”
Fantastic old hotel. Canadian history really. I will go back for sure. Only complaint is that in a hotel of this caliber, the bartender should be able to make a proper "Old Fashioned" like all the other Fairmont hotels..
“Relax in charming surroundings”
Hotel was very nice. If you stay on the weekend make reservations for the high tea and the Sunday brunch. Staff was courteous and professional. Servicewas also very good in the restaraunts. Very enjoyable business trip/weekend getaway.
“Fairmont - you can't go wrong”
Lovely historic hotel in the heart of Edmonton. Near excellent dining, Shaw Conference Centre and the North Saskatchewan River. Definitely take the free upgrade to a Fairmont President's Club membership for extra perks. Parking isn't a lot more to use the valet, so go with it.
“Edmonton best hotel”
Fairmont hotel Macdonald is a very nice hotel . The suites are large and very comfortable . The hotel staff are friendly and nice . The location is right in the middle of Edmonton downtown though I couldn't go out much because of much snow outside. I'll go back my next trip . I enjoyed the grand piano at the hotel hall way b/c i got to play it to entertain the other hotel's guests . They showed their appreciation !
“It doesn't get much better”
I spent two nights at the Macdonald Hotel, by far the best Hotel in Edmonton. The first night I treated my 4 daughters and their husbands to a meal in the Harvester Restaurant. They all agreed it was the best meal they have ever eaten : superb food and our waiter (Santana) was friendly, professional and attentive to all our needs. My room was excellent and I look forward to staying at the Fairmont Macdonald again.
“Beautiful Hotel”
This hotel is definitely a classic. Will stay at again.
“"can't wait to go back"”
Location, Food and Service made me feel like a Queen
