Satisfied a need.

Posted 16-Apr-2015
Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Rooms looking dated, need updating.
Front desk staff were professional but not friendly. Room was looking dated, but it was clean. Bed was firm, the way I like it. Nothing to rave about, but also nothing to really complain about. We needed a room for 1 night as my Daughter was competing in Edmonton. The location was as close as we could get to the arena, our room looked out at the railroad tracks, nothing the Hotel can do about that.

It was much quieter than I thought it was going to be, considering my room was facing a busy road. Staff were great - very friendly & helpful when I locked myself out of my room in my PJ's. Was very happy there was a house phone by the elevator so I did not have to go down to the desk!

Nice hotel with great staff.

a nice hotel with a friendly and helpful staff, especially in the lounge and restaurant. the food was way better than I expected it to be. the only problems I had with it were the noise (road traffic and people in the hallway) but it wasn't an issue all of the time. there isn't a gift shop or a nearby store so if you need to purchase anything you must drive. I would stay there again.

Check in was long and clerk was not helpful. No rooms available at 2:00 pm, no breakfast when you book on the web

Would not recommend

Posted 5-Apr-2015
This hotel is terrible. The room we stayed in was a junior suite with zero personality. To add its located right beside the train track so don't expect a quiet night. Also the rooms we stayed in had no exterior window but rather a window that faced the hotel dining room. Not private and very depressing with low lighting and no natural light. Lastly due to the location heading out on the street to go anywhere was a challenge due to heavy traffic. We will never stay here again.

Very close to shopping and restaurants

Posted 4-Apr-2015
Pros: Close to everything I wanted to go to
Cons: More comfortable beds
Location: Shopping and great restaurants
The hotel is very close to south edmonton common, and right across the street from red lobster and Olive Garden. The breakfast buffet has lots of variety and is very good. The hotel does not have a pool. The bed was a little uncomfortable, my husband and I both woke up with sore backs.

Room

Posted 11-Mar-2015
Pros: convenient location
Cons: sound proof windows/walls against outside noise.
My stay was a room on south end, not good due to garbage bin and train noise. Television reception dropped out occasionally for a few minutes at a time. Other than that, no complaints.
