Good central location -lots of free parking

Posted 21-Nov-2014
Pros: Clean , Quiet, Central. Great morning buffet breakfast.
Cons: Fixtures and finishes need updating, a little pricey given standard of room finishes and furnishing
Location: On main routes into uptown and across town - lots of near by shopping and eating places
3 day stay for business - large room with king bed and separate bedroom.

Beautiful lobby is very misleading

Posted 7-Nov-2014
Pull up to this hotel and you can instantly tell they have "renovated" it to attract visitors, walk in the front door and the lobby was beautiful..step of the elevator onto your floor and then it hits you...it was all a farce. Once you walk off the elevator you will notice the carpet..its not pulled tight and is bunched up everywhere..down all the hallways..major trip hazard. Then try to enter your room...maybe you will have more luck then us because our door frame was bent to entering and leaving the room was a hard task. Two pillows on a very hard uncomfortable bed, bright lights right outside your window that not even curtains can hide...not to mention the loud train that passes by at like 3am. Our sink in the bathroom had such poor drainage that it took about 5 minutes for it to empty out after brushing my teeth . We tried to order a movie for over 45 minutes and the front desk had such a hard time activating our room... but that was after the lady said she honestly just forgot to do it when we called 20 minutes earlier. We eventually got the movie and they offered no discount even though the 45 minutes we had to wait was unacceptable. There is no fridge in the room.....NO FRIDGE...this is a basic necessity these days so that was annoying. The only positive thing in the end was the free breakfast buffet. We left very early the next day because we needed to get home so we could sleep since we both had such a horrible night sleep the night before. Do not stay at this hotel!

Nice Hotel

This is a good hotel in a good location. The free breakfast was as good as it gets. The rooms are very nice however the bathrooms are dates and in need of maintenance

Too close to major Hiway.

Posted 3-Nov-2014
Hotel was dated, and the notice from Hiway was too much. Hotel staff was unpleasant.

Cozy and great for ppl with kids!

Posted 28-Oct-2014
We loved our room layout! Nice to have a separate bedroom for the kids so we did get a little privacy when the kids fell asleep :) and the free breakfast was absolulty amazing! We will definatly go back to this hotel next time we visit Edmonton. Also it's about 5 min drive to West Edmonton mall and the price per night was very reasonable:) the hotel restaurants food was sooooo good! Compliments to the chef! Looking forward to our next visit.

Easy to find from Red Deer

Posted 22-Oct-2014
Pros: It was easy to find
Cons: We weren't really there long enough to comment on this question
Location: Olive Garden and Red Lobster were near by
Well........ We were quite surprised to find out that we had to request a fridge in our room which they brought when I called. The room was odd - as soon as you walked in there was a bed on the right and the washroom on the left then you took about 10 or 12 steps and there was the other bed??? It was weird - none of us had ever seen a room like that ye t the other room was your typical hotel room. The topper was when the girl that I was sharing the room with dropped her phone on the floor at the foot of her bed and reached down for it she found a pair of someone's underwear that didn't get picked up by the owner or sucked up in the vacuum by staff. Rather gross.

Nice hotel right near amenities.

Posted 21-Oct-2014
It was good but the train was close and really loud before bed. But then we seemed to sleep well so it must only run during the day.
