“Good Hotel except for the nearby Train”
Very good, friendly and helpful staff. The lobby, lounge and food were awesome. The location was also great because it was close to the major arteries and one can find the way around fairly easily. The big downside was a train that shuttles back and forth during the night. However the staff did offer to change my room (without me asking) to the front of the hotel away from the noise. Otherwise.... I liked the place and the staff.
“convenience, comfortable”
Stayed there several times, very convenient location for me. Service and accomodations are better than average I'd suggest and I travel a lot. Only negative might be local rail line but doesn't bother me. Trip before this I used another "top quality" competitor just to try and will not return there. I will continue to use this facility. Good value
“Probably not go back”
The hotel was very clean and the employees were extremely nice and very easy to deal with. However, our room stated it had a balcony but the balcony was overlooking a restaurant... indoors! What is the point of having a balcony if you are still indoors. The restaurant was very noisy and woke us up in the morning. On the night we stayed there, there were several Christmas parties going on so we had to park in an abandon field, that was owned by the hotel, but so far we could have called a taxi to take us to the door, and with all the Christmas shopping we done this was not fun. I personally think the Christmas Party guests should have be designated to park over there and not the hotel guests. In the morning when we were checking out we still could not park at teh doors to load in all the bags we had because of the construction there were work vehicles blocking the entrance. I understand they need to be there but maybe hold off till after check out time.
“Renovated, with good service”
Stayed in the one-bedroom suite, with our two young children (aged 4 & 6). Hotel appears newly renovated, and the room was spotless, though a few details still need renovation (e.g., baseboards/trim). Rooms are arranged around a centre core of conference areas, restaurant & lounge. Hotel is near a busy commercial area, with easy access to West Edmonton Mall. NOTE: Located right beside a railroad track, which may not appeal to some travellers. Our boys, however, thought this was a delightful bonus! (Didn't keep us awake, in any case). Didn't try the restaurant or lounge but they looked like they would appeal to a business traveller.
“Loved it”
Had a great stay the staff made the visit to edmonton great.
“nice restaurant, decent diggs - overal above average IMO”
IDK why anyone would complain. Very very clean, food is average (service is great though), and the location is pretty convenient. It's not geared towards kids/family, but as a frequent business traveler, I consider that a perk.
“OK for the price”
price fairly good but look around first. no breakfast included but there is a restaurant on site. bathroom sinks have cracks in them making bathroom look dirty (it isn't but just old). bathroom amenities are nice (soap, shampoo etc all natural). if you want a fridge in your room ask for one. front desk staff very nice. restaurants in area are good. try Olive Garden across the street, excellent dinner and not too expensive. Humpty's down the block is good for breakfast. breakfast also good in hotel restaurant.
“Close to everything!!”
We were in Edmonton for a family wedding and the hotel was central to everything as well as close to downtown and all highways.
“Not Impressed”
The hotel was a great rate and the lobby was well decorated. That's about it for the positive points! We picked this hotel from the nice photos, great price and convenient location. It's close to main routes in Edmonton and easy to find and get to. However, our stay was quite disappointing. The hotel is located along train tracks, busy, loud, train tracks (which we had the pleasure of looking at from our room). The room was not clean, and poorly decorated- not like the photos!! The doors/walls were very thin and you could hear everything from the hall. The room was "quasi" renovated, but it was poorly done. When walking from room to room, the carpet tacks attacked our feet. The washroom had been painted, in parts, but in general it was pretty gross. The staff at the front desk were ok, not great customer service. The dining room was very nice to look at with a Indigenous People's theme. We didn't have dinner there, but it looked alright and was quite busy. Certainly wouldn't stay there again!
“Nice, comfortable, and clean”
In generaln the room was clean and comfortable. The washroom looked a little old. for instance, the washing sink was made of marble but had a big crack in it. The dinning room was impressive, the lobby was quite small with a few coaches. Will go back there if I pass around.
