“A fine hotel”

Yes there is train tracks right behind the hotel. And yes trains do run on them during the day and night, but overall we didn't find them to disturb our families night's sleep (3 year old, 9 month old). We did keep the window closed and used the air conditioning though so that may have helped. My husband felt the fan on the air conditioner was pretty loud, thought that the air conditioner impacted his sleep more than the train tracks.

“Our hotel of choice”

We stay at the Greenwood Inn when ever we travel to Edmonton. Nice and clean, plenty of parking and friendly staff. The trains were shuttling for a couple of hours around 9 pm making it quite noisy. Would have prefered a room on the west side away from the tracks. We parked on the east side and found that the pass card wasn't necessary as the entrance door wasn't closing all the way permitting non guests accessability. Otherwise a good stay.

“Good value, great location”

Very convenient location. Very close to Southgate Mall. Good amenities. Nice to have 2 restaurants on site and many nearby. Clean room and friendly service. A few other reviews mention the train tracks but it really is not that loud or disruptive. I would stay here again.

Great place, only one drawback, the train track is only 70' behind the hotel and is very noisy! And runs all night long.

“Great value!”

The Greenwood Inn offers you a very nice room for the price you pay. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the room very clean. The maids are very friendly in the morning. The hotel is starting to show its age a little but not a concern. I was disappointed that the steam room was broken one weekend and still not working the next weekend we stayed. We have stayed six or seven times in 2010 and will be back if we travel to Edmonton again.

The sink is badly scratched and looks terrible with dirt in the scratch. Other than that every thing is great.

“Great hotel especially for the price”

Great hotel, with a great location and less that 20 minutes from all Edmonton's greatest attractions. For such a low price it would be difficult to find a better hotel. Also this establishment features all the necessary facilities such as a indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, fitness centre, free wifi internet and much more. When we were there we got a 4star service for a 2star price!

“Standard Hotel”

Your basic hotel, nothing special, nothing to complain about. Best price in the area, and a great central location. I would not recommend eating at the ABC Restaurant - great service, however sub par over priced food.
