“Good Value”

Was good for the location, would stay here again.

Area recommendations
West Edmonton Mall, you will love it.
Getting around
I find it is always cheaper to rent a car than to get a taxi.

I would agree that it may be cheaper to rent a car than to take taxis, especially if you want to see the sights or you are here for multiple days. “Great service, good location, comfortable rooms”

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was at a very convenient location. The underground parking lot added security. The room was a bit small but comfortable. Free WiFi is pretty standard nowadays. A small minus was that the windows did not close tight enough. We could hear the noise from the highway. It did not affect our sleep so it was just a very minor minus.

“"Decent hotel"”

We stayed at this hotel for a friend's wedding as she had her reception in one of the ballrooms. Overall, the hotel was alright. It was in need of revamping however; the rooms felt really old and the bathtub was chipped and cracked. Small bathroom. The one perk was the king size bed we got, which was really comfy as was the duvet. The pillows were a bit high for us, but otherwise had a good night's rest. My parents in the next room said their room was a bit noisier. Good hotel that accomodated earlier check-in for us.

“Disgusting Pool. Would not recommend.”

Chose this hotel based on price, location, and because it had a pool. We have two small children so we always look for a hotel with a pool and always go swimming. Everything may have been just fine had we not gone to the pool. As soon as we walked in the doors we noticed it smelled like cigarette or cigar smoke, not sure where it came from or what exactly the smell was but the pool area did not have a good smell. The pool was filthy, there was all kinds of debris floating in the water including dead bugs. Seeings how the pool was pretty gross and not very warm, we went and sat in the luke warm whirlpool with jets that barely worked. From my view from the whirlpool, I noticed this time live bugs crawling on the pool deck. It was very disgusting. Needless to say our swim did not last very long and we will never return to this hotel. The picture of the pool on the hotel website looks like it is nice and well maintained. I have never seen a picture of a pool do so much injustice to the actual condition of the pool. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Nice Room, No AC, Terrible Food”

Great deal on the room, but when we arrived we had no AC, an open sunny window, and little ventilation. A small piece of paper on the desk in our room asked us to close the blinds and turn down the furnace for coolness (duh, would have been nice if it was cool when we got there). Went for dinner in the 4404 dinner within the hotel, wasn't very impressed. The food lacked "flavour" and was very basic, but was priced as if I was eating at a 4.5 star diner. Service was great, but we could have gone down the road to Olive Garden for twice the food, 5 times the flavour, and half the price. All in all, great people, clean hotel, very affordable. But due to the poor in-house food, the nearby busy highway, and very hot rooms, I will not be staying here again.

We receive many very positive comments regarding the restaurant menu and I am guessing that there is some follow up to be done with a specific shift that did not deliver your meals to the standard that they should have been prepared. We truly are proud to stand behind the product in the restaurant and I am sorry that you experienced something other than our best. “Great service at the Delta!”

I stayed at this hotel for one night in June. When we arrived, we were greeted by very friendly front desk service and we were also upgraded to a better room. We had trouble opening the door to our room so they sent someone up to help us. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However some parts of the room needed updating (wall paper near window was peeling) The essentials (bed, desk, tv etc.) were all nice and modern. We got a free appetizer with our booking so we went down to the restaurant. The calamari was great but the martinis were way overpriced ($12.95). We ordered room service for dinner and it came quickly and was hot and fresh. The workout room is really nice with lots of different equipment and complimentary water bottles were a great addition. We also went to use the hottub which was small but clean and nice and hot! We had a good sleep and we were never disturbed by noise. We will definately be returning to this hotel but we will probably go elsewhere to eat next time because the restaurant was overpriced (good food but it isn't worth the price)

“Excellent and friendly service.”

“Not as good as other Delta locations”

The hotel lobby is quite nice and the check in went as expected. We went to our room to relax for a bit and noted the room was generally poorly maintained. I noticed a small bug on the bed and captured it to show the front desk staff. It looked like a small bedbug to me but they assured me it was not. They moved us to a different room and gave us coupons for a free breakfast for our troubles. Besides the bug, the hotel is in a convenient location for access but there is not much within walking distance. This hotel is not what I had come to expect from Delta and I may not be staying at Delta hotels or resorts again.

I would like to thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding your recent stay. I apologize that your hotel room was not up to the standard that you have come to expect from Delta Hotels. We are scheduled to have renovations to all of our guest rooms early next year which will put us at the top of our class. I would like to thank you for catching the bug that you found in your room for us to inspect. It was inspected by our team and thought to be a beetle which was later confirmed by a third party pest control company. We did a full inspection of your room and did not find any signs indicating the presence of bed bugs or any other bugs. As we wanted to be 100% confident when we communicated this to you, we did call in a third party company that specializes in these types of situations to do a complete overhaul of the room themselves. There investigation confirmed that there was no presence of bed bugs or any other bugs in the room. I do apologize that a beetle got in your room and I do understand how this would have created a very uncomfortable situation for you, especially with all of the concern industry wide regarding bed bugs. It is very easy for a beetle or bug to travel on a person or their belongings into the hotel especially now that it is summertime. I would like to assure you that we take concerns of this nature very seriously and have trained our housekeeping team to do regular inspections to prevent the spread of bed bugs. We will always be diligent in our investigation and follow up to prevent the impact to our guests and business. Thank you again for bringing this concern to our attention as this is the first step in preventing a potential hazard.
