Cheaper downtown hotel

Posted 16-Apr-2014
Pros: location and price
Cons: needs complete refurbishing... thought that I was back in the seventies
Hotel is older and in great need of refurbishing. No control of heat in guest rooms...."very warm"

"Room with a view"

Posted 15-Apr-2014
Pros: Staff was friendly, close for walking in town core
Cons: Needs some updating. Prices are high for what you get
Only stayed for one night. The staff were friendly. Not much to this hotel. Our window had the view of a concrete car park! Not sure why there was a window. You could here people walking around on the upper floors. No pool if you are wanting one. Thought the price was too much for what was lacking. Rooms were clean. I wouldn't stay there again unless it was cheaper. The phone in the room didn't work either

Good location, little run down

Posted 14-Apr-2014
Hotel staff was nice, the hotel itself was a bit dated and wasn't the cleanest I have ever stayed in but certainly not the worst. I often ensure to book hotels with a gym and the gym here was not very good compared to most I have been to.. room was very small and right across from the front desk. Equipment very dated as well. Location is good , walking distance from a few pubs and stuff so that was cool. Overall it was ok

Overnight again at Days Inn

Posted 13-Apr-2014
Pros: Convenient central location.
Location: There is not a lot to do in downtown Edmonton at night, unless something is happening at one of the performing arts venues. A few good bistros nearby.
Periodically I travel to Edmonton for business and require overnight accommodation. Day Inn has an excellent central location, yet the location is also quiet with no noticeable traffic noise. Check-in is always friendly and staff helpful. I had requested in advance a room away from the elevator and my request was accommodated. The rooms have been clean and comfortable and well maintained, despite their age. The single elevator is tiny, old and very slow, so I often opt for the stairs. I choose to return each time because my stay is pleasant, most of the staff are friendly, location is good and I can relax in my room without noise or disturbance. There is also a nice cafe connected to the lobby for convenient breakfasting.

A noisy hotel to avoid

Posted 12-Apr-2014
Pros: Close to downtown; free parking.
Cons: Quietness
The noise made it hard to sleep. It was not from the street, but from some electric equipment in the building. Earplugs did not help. Strongly not recommend this hotel.

Very Peased with the Hotel

Posted 6-Apr-2014
I am always pleased to walk into a hotel lobby for the first time and it smells and looks clean. The staff were very helpful when asked about dinner options within walking distance. We went to an Indian/ African restaurant called Haandi and it was excellent. The room was really clean and comfortable. The location is great. We need a hotel for a couple more days and we will return to the Days Inn downtown Edmonton .

Great location

Close to restaurants, LTR, Rexall Place. Hotel staff are great. Rooms are shabby and not very clean. Older hotel that is due for another makeover.
