Good Hotel

Posted 26-May-2015
Pros: We did like the hotel and had a friend stay there last year when she visited from overseas. The hotel was conveniently located. It was also very clean
Cons: Once the parking lot is completed everything is perfect.
Location: It is close to Alberta Craft Council Gallery where one can see crafts produced in Alberta from pottery to textiles and hand made jewelry.
We loved our stay because it was close to the Legislative where we went for the swearing inn of the NDP etc. Also the hotel is close to downtown - shopping, galleries, restaurants and a;; pleasant walking distance. The room was very comfortable. We recommend the hotel highly. It was also next to Albert's Restaurant which gave excellent service at breakfast time. There was construction so the hotel parking was not available, but there was parking on the street so it was okay. It was quiet.

Terrible hotel

Posted 20-May-2015
The hotel was under construction! Dusty and dirty! No parking! There was paid parking across the street but you could only pay until 6am. Since I was there for work and I work the afternoon shift it was quite inconvenient. The staff didn't seem to care about my problem and was unable to give me any alternatives. So when I got there at 2 o'clock in the morning this is what I had to deal with! I will never step hotel again

Decent

Parkade was under construction, so had to pay park on street. Wifi didn't work at all. Small hotel kind of creepy looking at night. Pro: close to jasper ave/walking distance to downtown. Staff was exceptional, However. Very polite. For over $100 a night, I wouldn't stay again though.

Downtown hotel with no parking.

Posted 14-May-2015
When I checked in, I asked about the parking and got rude attitude from the desk clerk. I kept my j yet actions with her to a minimum. Wasn't aware they decided to do renovations on their parkade. Had to park on the street. In the morning, when the meters start, Just as I was getting together change for the meter, I wound up with a $50.00 parking ticket. Thanks! :) There is no A/C so I slowly cooked to death in my room. Their fan system comes from a time before humans discovered what hot days could do to you. I was met with excuses and no solutions and the dreaded, "there's not much we can do, sir". I don't recommend this place. Even to my worst enemy. It behaves more like an expensive hostel.

Rude Staff, Dirty Rooms, Old, Smelly Just Terrible

Posted 11-May-2015
Pros: Location only.
Cons: Tear it down, start again and try to do better next time.
From check-in to check-out staying at this hotel was a terrible experience. Two weeks after booking 4 rooms at this hotel for myself and coworkers for a nearby conference we received a email saying their parking lot would be closed but they had other options. I called the hotel and they gave me the rates for the lot across the street, which would have been $12 a day, which was $2 more a day more expensive than their lot. Upon arrival we found they were off by $10. The lot across was $22 a day. When I question the front desk staff about this as that's a huge difference especially with 3 vehicles and I was told "it's not my problem" Other highlights include dirty rooms...like fingernail clippings on the desk and floor, a shower that blasted hot and cold over and over, a terrifying variety of smells (why did our bathroom smell like garlic??) a super sketchy and rickety elevator, the thermostat not working, wifi not working and so on. There are much much better options in the area.

Typical Spring stay

Posted 7-May-2015
Pros: Location to LRT, Albert's Restaurant for Breakfast
Cons: Need to lower temperatures in the rooms. It is much easier to warm up a cold room than to try to cool a really hot one down
Location: Downtown, close to numerous eateries adn the LRT
seems the norm for hotels in the spring to be VERY hot. Checked into the hotel after 5pm and the room was stifling hot +28 celsius and the AC was not in operation as yet. Opening the window did very little until after midnight when the room FINALLY started to cool off. The shower had the normal really hot then reallycold water issues. Bed was very comfortable, room nicely laid out. No mini fridge in the double queen room.

Cons:

Posted 5-May-2015
Pros: 出張先の目的地に近いこと。
Cons: 客の洗濯設備が少ない。順番待ちであった。
Location:
