"Very comfortable hotel and great location!"
We really liked the location! It was away from the center of town which made it so much more relaxing! The bus stop right across the street in front of hotel. There were numerous bus lines available that took you to anywhere in the city w/very little confusion! (Plus the Scots really help you when you need it!) We really enjoyed the English breakfast! (Try the Black pudding! It tastes like a black bean veggie paddie!) The owner and his staff were very accommodating and nice!!

"Lovely Edinburgh hotel on Royal Mile"
One nights stay to celebrate a special birthday . From the moment we were greeted at the front door to the collection of the luggage & presents we'd left in storage while we went on a little tour , every member of staff was cheerful & helpful. Special mention Marika at the bar who couldn't have been more helpful , she even telephone the restaurant to tell them we were running late. Victoria and her colleague in the spa were also lovely , providing us with a free glass of prosecco to continue the birthday celebrations.

"Lovely hotel, perfect location."
We stayed here for three nights in a four poster room. The room was lovely, very 'stately', described as a double but more like a king if not superking!. The furnishings were traditional in a huge room which was very clean and although a bit too warm, very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.....and served in the Members Dining Room (an impressive high ceilinged room) of this club hotel...plenty of choice with cereal, porridge, fresh fruit salad, kippers or cooked breakfast. There is a bar area on the ground floor with walls adorned with Royal Scots portraits and photos which creates the 'Club' feel, it isn't stuffy, and whilst lovely, it doesn't have a totally kickbacked relaxed feel. The position of the hotel is perfect and in a quiet street but minutes from Princes St. It is a short walk from 3 tram stops which has to be the best choice of transport from the airport. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel, but there are many very good restaurants within a few minutes walk. All in all an excellent base to spend a long weekend in Edinburgh.

"Wonderful period property"
I stayed with my mum and sister for a girls weekend in the City. A great location 5 mins walk to the bottom of princes street. A gorgeous period property which had wonderful design and style. Very comfortable and the owner was so helpful and accomodating. Lovely touches like providing milk for tea and washing up liquid in the kitchen. Under floor heating in the bathroom was brilliant. Would definately stay there again. We stayed in the Eton suite.

"A hidden gem"
After struggling through the rush hour bustle from the station and fighting the wind and rain on the north bridge arriving at 10 hill place hotel changed the mood immediately. Hearing the pianist playing in the small bar area as I was checking in made a great start to the weekend. Immediately soothed by the music and the attentive check in staff
