“We'd certainly go there again!”
The staff were very accommodating when we changed our requirements. Facilities were excellent and the use of the Health Club at the Scotsman was superb,
“Nice home away from home!”
We stayed in the executive apartment and then the premier apartment on the top floors. Very spacious. Tastefully remodelled with a modern well-stocked kitchen. We bought ready food at Marks and Spencer and popped them in the oven for dinner. A good arrangement since the shops closed very early. At our rooms we could see the harbor at a distance, very pretty at night. Friendly and helpful staff - they offer us free latte at the reception desk. The hotel is about 8-10 minutes walk from the train station and airport shuttle bus stop. Everyone seems to walk around with their luggage in UK, so this is manageable. The only drawback of the hotel is that it is in a very old building - the sink has separate cold water and hot water faucets, and the toilet did not always seem to co-operate. But, that's just the charm of an old palace. The kitchen is new and has none of those issues.
“Fantastic for Families”
Royal Garden Apartments are very centrally located and are perfect for both business and holiday visiting. The kitchen was well equipped for a longer stay and there was plenty of room for 3 adults and a young child in our two bedroom apartment. Families are welcomed with my 19 month son provided with a cot, change mat and nappy disposal unit and he absolutely loved his own mini bathrobe! Another young family were staying on the same floor but you couldn't hear any noise from other rooms at all and our stay was very peaceful. Staff were very friendly and accommodating from our quite late arrival on the train to our late checkout on our final day. Small extras such as complimentary espresso coffee/tea and breakfast muffins in the reception lounge and an evening glass of wine are the final touches for a very welcoming and value for money experience. We would be very keen to stay here again.
“Excellant Apart Hotel”
Handy location, comfortable rooms. cable TV and internet access and well equipped kitchens including milk in fridge on arrival
“Really great place to stay”
I am really glad that I chose to stay here rather than the 5* hotel down the road. The apartment was large and very comfortable. The position of the hotel was very central, but surprisingly quiet. The staff were very helpful and free muffins and coffee were available for breakfast and a complimentary glass of wine in the evening. DVDs and CDs were available for rent free of charge and all rooms had sky TV and a DVD player. I was very impressed with this hotel. My mother who is usually difficult to please enjoyed her stay and stated she would stay here again. An extra bonus is that you get use of the Spa facilities at the 5* hotel down the road.
“Very impressed.”
My first time in Edinburgh. The apartment was very comfortable. Our room overlooked the rear of the property with a lovely view of the Firth of Forth. You couldn't hear any noise from any of the other apartments which was good. The kitchen was well equipped with milk, tea and coffee in situ to start you off. All the staff were friendly and helpful and when we reported something as broken it was fixed the same day. I would definitely stay there on a return visit to Edinburgh.
“Super lovely serviced apartments!”
The room itself was stunning (premium suite). Great views and lovely touches like complimentary breakfast in room. Check in was a bit slow and cost of wifi cheeky as you can only purchase 24 hour blocks. For two of us it would have been 20 pounds as cannot use same code. If you stay here just find a pub with free wifi. Kitchens are mostly well stocked but you buy or bring your own salt and pepper. Overall a great hotel!
“Fantastic place to stay”
Great place to stay, very central for main shopping and commercial centre. Lovely rooms, very spacious and every need catered for. Warm welcome and lots of useful advice for first time visitors to Edinburgh. Cannot recommend enough and have told all my friends this is the place to stay.
“I would love to repeat the experience”
The only problem was the the noise...The 2 rooms of the appartment were located next to the main road, and there were too many trucks passin by this road in the early morning...
“Terrific Edinburgh apartment”
Close to central Edinburgh and attractions, a very spacious apartment that was very nicely furnished and comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff.
