“Very nice, but a little slow”
Check-in and check-out took a bit longer than expected. Rooms were clean and the service was friendly. The floorboards in the basement-level room were creaking quite badly, and the battery cover on the tv remote was missing, but everything else was excellent.
“Great Hotel but lots of stairs...”
When you try to find your room you end up walking around these weird staircases (it did get easier once we found the elevator), but still had to go by a couple of stairs on our way to the room. Room is comfortable and clean with coffee maker, bath tub a bit high to get into to take shower. I could see an older person having problems there, I'm not and thought it was too high. Nice pub/bar in hotel.
“Edinburgh - fantastic”
A hotel is a bit far away from the city centre however public transportation is satisfying. The hotel is located in one of the best parts of Edinburgh hence really quiet and relaxing. Next time I'll pick the same.
“Convenient to airport and nice park”
We were at this hotel for about 10 hours before taking a flight home, and everything went very smoothly. It has a nice bar and restaurant and is across the street from a lovely park. The best room darkening curtains we found in Scotland, very useful in June.

“Quick overnight stay”
We stayed here overnight as we had a very early flight the next morning. The service was quick and they automatically offered a wake up call and pre-arranged a taxi for us in the morning. It's not quite as close to the airport as I thought, but it was a quick trip over - less than 15 minutes. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and the employees very friendly.
“Nice hotel - but definately not central.....”
After arriving at Waverley bus station we asked at the information desk if she had any idea about where our hotel was and nope she didnt. She suggested we get a taxi to the hotel as the taxi driver should know. The taxi driver first took us to the other Best Western hotel in Edinburgh which cost us £4.50.....then I realised it was the wrong one....so the taxi driver says...oh but that hotel is much further out..sigh. By then we just wanted to rid our bags and chill......so eventually we got to the hotel which ended up costing £13 with the detour :/ The hotel itself was nice....modern and clean. I asked the receptionist about getting into the centre by bus, she said they ran like every 10 mins so that wasnt so bad I guess. The hotel is within walking to Corstophine, which is a nice quiet village, with a few pubs and shops and restaurants at reasonable prices. The only problem is the village is that its at the bottom of a very steep hill...any back problems beware...its almost vertical....and dont wear heels like I did....lol :D If you have no problems with bussing it into Edinburgh or walking up and down that hill then you will be fine at this hotel :-)

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. It is a bit off the beaten path, but great value for the price.

stayed just one night but very satifiied,very clean and very helpful staff especially Milind.For the price you get so much more.
“Very impressed”
I was really impressed with the service and recently refurbished room. Kids loved the pool and the sunday morning breakfast was fab (Loch Fyne kippers!!) Tremendous value.
