“Doing Renovations”

Parking and desk service was fine. Lobby was under contruction so there was a lot of plastic and dust. Lots of building materials around the grounds. Room was a mess. Looked like it wasn't vacuumed or dusted in weeks. Potato chips on the table and floor. Lamp shades not attached properly and hanging sideways or on the floor. I think it will be nice if they continue the renovations into the rooms.

“unprepared for graduation crowd”

I had no hot water in which to take a shower. The hotel was completely booked for a December graduation at the University, which probably meant they did not have a large enough hot water heater(s). Apparently if you showered before 6:30 am, there was hot water. The manager and owners were both out of town. There was no one 'responsible' or willing to placate my complaint. I am still waiting for the manager to get back into the country so that I may talk with him.

“Would Warn others not to expect much!”

The refrigerator had a container of food sitting in it, there was a water bottle in the freezer with water in it (not frozen). The refrigerator temperature was higher than cool (sucked for keeping beer cold). The floor molding was falling off in the bathroom, no exhaust fan in the bathroom. There was a place for a microwave, but no microwave. The alarm clock did not work and made a strange noise at night. One of the wall outlets did not work (not marked for wall switch??). I have spent days in hotels and I will say that the breakfast the offered was terrible not to mention the lady there was rude. It was funny, we spent two days there, getting the coffee the first day they had one size cup and one size lid, I tried to put the lid on the cup and could not get it to fit. I asked the lady and she said yes it was not the right size lid for the cup, ??? I thought why was it even offered if it was the wrong size??? I guess it looked good that they had cups and lids, this was both days? The second day I thought I would make some coffee in the room, and a pet peeve of mine... there was no regular coffee left in the room! There was going to be three of use (me and my two adult children) spending the night the second night, so I asked for a roll away bed and was informed that one would not fit in the room. The room is overstuffed with non working or missing appliances w/cabinets.
