Fabulous
This hotel was absolutely delightful. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and made our stay comfortable and extremely enjoyable. Food was delicious. I cannot it fault it at all.

Property location on the water is beautiful and facilities were excellent 4 star. Guest service (booking/billing unresponsive and very poor, needing improvement. Guests should be wary of booking through Orbitz, as hotel uses third-party booking vendors to give guests the run-around and refuses to correct very obvious charge errors --even when charges were directly COLLECTED AT HOTEL PROPERTY and Orbitz formally replied that hotel collected all the charges. Hotel acknowledged the erroneous charge but refused to correct at check-out (nor weeks afterwards), proceeded with charging guest erroneous amount anyways, and then incredulously put the "commission arrangements" they made with Orbitz the responsibility of the Guest as contingency for their hotel to refund the overcharge. Dining options also make no allowance for Hotel Guests (even when you have 5 guests staying for 5 nights in 4 separate bookings)-- no guest can get a table reservation for dinner at the hotel the first few nights, and then greeted by a very condescending and unfriendly restaurant Host.

A gem in the Tyrolean mountains, it’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a relaxing stay by the lake. The views are stunning (and we didn’t stay in a suite), and the staff are very helpful and welcoming (albeit in a very Austrian way!). The spa is wonderful, vast and very clean, with two outdoor pools (including jacuzzi) with dramatic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Absolutely would recommend it !! In the village there are quite a few restaurants to try, and it’s very easy to go for winter hikes up the nearby lointains.

Fantastic resort. Highly recommended. Spa is great. Massage was great. Village and lake were beautiful and quiet so great for those who want 2-3 days away for rest and relaxation.

My review of Travel Charme
Very clean and quiet the hotel. Needs better sign posting especially if arriving in the evening when very dark and not much light around. Also note dinner gets serviced earlier than one would expect so don’t arrive too late and always book if you want to have dinner.

Really relaxing hotel and perfect for a spa weekend. We went in Feb and it was snowy and perfect for a walk and then an afternoon in the spa. Great breakfast and staff were lovely

Second time round, and still good!
We had a lovely 4 nights at the Travel Charme - our second time here. The hotel is superb, right on the lake and an easy walk into town. We had a lake view, but a mountain view is just as beautiful. Very comfortable room, good bathroom and shower, wif-fi good. Only one English channel on the TV, but we weren't there to watch television! The spa facilities are excellent. Sauna and steam (naked...) were good, used them every day, as well as the pool - and to swim outside with 3ft of snow around you is amazing! We didn't use any of the treatments that were on offer, so can't comment on those. But plenty of relaxing beds to rest and enjoy the view.... We were B&B, and thought the choice at breakfast was great. Cereals, fruit, cooked-to-order omlettes and eggs, as well as the normal scrambled, bacon, sausages etc. There are numerous restaurants dotted around the town, all within a 15 minute or so walk. We did the 5km walk to Maurach, and then up on the cable car to Rofan. Stunning views, and a few really nice bars and restaurants up there too. Ideal for walking, or just watching all that's going on! Obviously, going in January, everywhere catered for snow and skiing, which we were more than happy with, but would like to go back in the summer, when I'm sure it would be a completely different type of holiday. Excellent all round, and would definitely return.

Overall great place to stay but no ventilation
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in July 2015. The location is excellent, right at the lake with a very nice view. The hotel employees were very friendly and helpful. We only ordered breakfast, which offered a very good selection. One aspect that was negative was the air quality in our room. There was no ventilation in our room. Even though we slept with an open window, the air was quite bad in the morning.

Very nice hotel on Lake Achensee with spa lounges that had gorgeous views of the lake. My two complaints were that the spa rooms were too warm and not comfortable to stay in and that other than your room there were no outlets to charge your kindle for reading

Great hotel on the lake. Great view of snow-capped mountains across lake from room. Attentive service. As others have said, expect a few extra minutes to check in and enjoy complimentary champagne, hot towel, etc. Tough to find after-hours food nearby, but a few small options. Would return again!

Hotel is really well run and well maintained. Staff is very good. Breakfast included is also very good. Spa is great. Dinner is the only low spot. Overpriced for what you get. Small portions and very poor service. There are much better choices in walking distance.

Beautiful hotel on lake.
The Travel Charme hotel is a very nice hotel in a beautiful location. When we checked in the hotel staff offered us sparkling wine and a dessert. The spa located in the hotel has an indoor pool, outdoor pool a whirlpool and several saunas. The spa is a great place to relax after skiing all day. The hotel is close to cross country skiing and a ski lift. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location by the lake and the wharf.
My visit was inspired by the Chalet School books. I was able to walk to Gaisalm, take the cable car to Karwendel and swim in the hotel pool. A great place to stay but would have liked more information in English. There was virtually none. I hope to return

A lovely getaway
My wife and I found the hotel and area to be perfect for a short (4 day) relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet offered a very wide selection - evening meals were a tad pricey, where the price on the menu differed to that that we paid! The spa is extremely good (beware, nude unisex saunas, which was unexpected!). The surrounding area of Pertisau seemed child friendly, and it judging by the ski schools and clientele, it would be a great place to learn how to ski. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Hotel and in Pertisau, enough that we'd not think twice about going in summer if the opportunity arose.

In short: The hotel is nice, and just renovated, so clean and attractive. The Good: The Spa is fantastic; large, well appointed and relaxing. Gym good. Great water pressure in the hotel room showers too. Nice view of the lake and good location. Service in general was fine. Breakfast was good. The not-so-good: The beds are not very comfortable; we didn’t sleep well. Check-in took more than 20 minutes (and we were the only ones there). They do offer a complimentary beverage (tea, coffee, champagne) and a warm towel to refresh while you are waiting, but the wait was too long. Overall: We had a nice stay, and have no major complaints, but were not awed by the service as other reviewers were.

One of the best resorts I have been to. The hotel is facing the lake, so you get an amazing view and it is at the heart of the village. The SPA is brilliant, with so many features and facilities. Professional and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel, one of the best I've ever stayed in... staff were incredible everyone was very polite, helpful, and more everyone I spoke English (a plus for me). Super location and the hotel facilities were top class, with one exception - dinner was not up to the high standards of the rest of the hotel... for some reason suddenly the staff were confused, the options limited and service almost funny ("have you some wine?"... "Yes" is not the answer I expect)....

Excellent hotel in a wonderful setting. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was areal highlight, with a huge selection and excellent pastries. My only quibbles were that the shampoo was not replaced throughout our 7 day stay, which meant that we used the shower gel to wash our hair. We were also not informed about the 9 euro per day parking fee until we received the final bill. Otherwise a very memorable trip, and highly recommended.
