Golden wedding celibrations

Posted 12-Nov-2014
Pros: Every thing
Location: Close to the shops and right on the sea front
Just had a wonderful weekend at the Cavendish with friends and family of the golden wedding couple, the hotel staff could not have done more to make it a weekend to remember. Nothing was to much trouble for them and always smiling, so thank to ALL members of staff for making it a weekend to remmber.

Eastbourne in november

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Pros: everything
Cons: one tiny thing i stayed in a single room the tea making tray only had one coffee sachet per day
Location: the hotel is right on the seafront lots of places around Brighton Rye Hastings Battle plus there are lots of pretty villages
nice hotel very polite staff i arrived on Saturday after noon had to queue to check in but that was due to number of people checking in and out staff worked well under pressure the rest of the staff treat guests to an equal high standard

A lovely place to relax.

Posted 4-Nov-2014
Pros: The staff were really helpful, they informed us about the parking, local resturants and discounts. All the different areas to sit and relax.
Cons: Perhaps more staff in the spa. When I went down for my treatment the place was messy. Perhaps a basket for used towels etc. in the Sanctuary.
Location: We were spoilt for choice with all the local resturants, but finally chose Tango. We had a lovely meal, great atmosphere, friendly, really recommend it
I would really recommend this hotel, but I don't think I need to as it was quite busy at breakfast, considering that it is November.

Lovely location

Posted 20-Oct-2014
Pros: Lovely view of the sea from the dining room, nice ambience.
Cons: My room was far too hot and no way of controlling it. There should be a thermostat in each room.
Location: Right on the seafront and close to town centre. Lots to see and do.
Stayed one night after a function at the hotel. My single room was quite spacious, very clean and nicely appointed. Good selection of toiletries, etc and complimentary bottled water. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, both hot and cold.

Bliss by the sea!

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: Everything.
Location: Open top bus tour. Beachy Head. Train ride to Brighton. Very good restaurants, especially Old Dave's Gourmet Burgers in South Street.
Excellent stay, highly recommend the Cavendish. Fantastic Afternoon Tea. Had a very relaxing time visiting friends, made use of the spa, which is very handy being within the hotel. Staff very professional, food excellent. Can't fault anything at all.

Poor care for the needs of guests

Posted 20-Sep-2014
Pros: See front location
Cons: Listen to guests and try to be helpful.
Location: Near Eastbourne Bandstand. Excellent concert with fireworks
Poor liaison between Restaurant Manager and Reception. Only late bookings available for the restaurant despite requests for earlier meals because we are diabetic. Restaurant Manager only made excuses, no real effort to help or even listen. Hotel rates itself above my experience.

Excellent, stylish hotel on the seafront

Posted 15-Sep-2014
Cons: I think that we shall book a larger room next time, hopefully with a King Size bed.
Location: We were there simply to relax, though the flourishing town centre was also within easy walking distance. Concerts at the bandstand most enjoyable.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The greatest asset of the hotel is its staff who were, without exception, cheerful, welcoming and helpful. The public rooms are magnificent, yet comfortable, the restaurant is certainly recommended, but there is also a bar with bar food available and a sea view while you eat.
