“Bon raport qualité prix”
Hotel confortable et acceuil sympathique. Accès simple et proche de l'autoroute, malheureusement au coeur d'une zone industrielle. Dommage qu'il nesoit pas plus près du centre de Gand.
“Great value hotel.”
I stayed at the Campanile for 2 nights to attend the Ghent six day track cycling event. The hotel is the typical Campanile style consisting of 2 storey blocks with rooms on ground and first floor level. From entering the reception you got a feeling that the place was cared for. Friendly staff, clean and well organised reception and restaurant. I ate all my meals there in between going to the velodrome, and although the menue was basic the food was well cooked, tasty and well presented. The room was very clean and presentable. No noise overnight and the rear rooms overlook a quiet garden area. Overall you got the impression of a well run hotel by poeple who cared. I will be going back next year and have no hesitation in recomending this hotel for anybody who is looking for accomodation close to the city center that is not overpriced. (In other words like me living on a budget and not expense account).
“Incorrect Review”
The review "Quaint is OK, however not in extremes" for the hotel Campanile was actually submitted for a different hotel we stayed at during our recent trip. I hope that this review corrects any misconceptions.
“enchantés”
bon hotel rapport qualite prix tres bon accueil tres propre personnel tres accueillant parking gratuit geographiquement bien situe pour visiter bruges bruxelles anvers par exemple a 3.5 km du centre de ghent dans une zone industrielle a l entree de la ville mais aucun desagrement. Voyageons souvent , pour un premier sejour en Campanile sommes ravis. L avons souvent recommande depuis notre retour.
“Good Memory”
It is a great accomodation in Companile Ghent, the service is great, the lady in front desk is very friendly, and the food is ok. And, importantly, when we stayed there, the weather became nice. Very lucky! I would like to visit again next time if possible.
“Short break in Gent”
On a short break in Gent to visit relatives. The Hotel was well situated for easy access to all main Cities and towns. Easy to find, good parking, good breakfast and very pleasant staff. We did not take dinner but the menu looked very good.
“Campanile Hotel Gent review”
The Campanile Hotel Gent is a few minutes drive from Flanders Expo. It is very clean and cheap for what you get.
“Convenient stop over”
Basically a Motel with a seperate restaurant. Room very comfortable, clean and modern. Restaurant didn't have a good chice of food, the wine was awful. The set meal was the better option as it was cheaper. Breakfast very good, lots of choice, fresh orange juice, fruit. cereal and hot pastries. Cost of room was average but the food was expensive. Would only stay there for convenience to the Motorway.
“It's a Motel”
GOOD 1) It's very reasonably priced compared with other hotels in the area. 2) The rooms are faultlessly clean 3) The mattresses are of a good quality, so you can really get a good night's sleep 4) The reception staff are very helpful and speak excellent English. 5) If you are travelling by car, the hotel is dead easy to access from the motorway. 6) The bathroom is highly practical - loads of hot and high-pressured water 7) There's quite a good buffet breakfast at a reasonable price NOT SO GOOD 1) The rooms are in a separate block from the reception, and the external corridors are reminiscent of a 1970's council estate block in the UK. 2) The decor of the rooms is bland and cheap - the furniture looks tacky, and the linoleum floors aren't the nicest. 3) The wall-mounted electric heater is set to low on arrival so the room will be initially cold in winter. 4) There seemed to be a lingering smell of cleaning detergents in the rooms. 5) Savings made on the room will be offset in part by the cost of taxis into the centre of Gent: the hotel isn't on a direct bus or tramline into the centre. Conclusion: reasonable (though certainly not romantic) launchpad for exploring Gent and a practical option for transit travellers. We were disappointed at first because of the lack of charm, but once we had re-aligned our expectations and started perceiving the hotel as a motel, then it wasn't bad at all.
“A Motel really”
Campaniles were good maybe 20 years ago, but now they are a bit dated. This one is quite a long way outside Ghent with no handy public transport. A car is needed. The rooms open directly to the outside so there is very little security

Ghent, Belgium: The heart and soul of Ghent is the picture-perfect, car-free Old Town. Tour boats ply the Lys River, with the medieval guild houses of Graslei and Korenlei streets casting their reflections upon the placid waters. St. Bavo's Cathedral houses the magnificent Lamb of God altarpiece, painted by the van Eyck brothers in the 1400s. The Gravensteen Castle, built in the 1100s, is another must-see.
