“Very convenient location”

We spent one night on our way back home and this hotel was the best place to stay - convenient location, reasonable price, safe to walk at night, close to the Central station, walkin distance to the City Centre. Very clean and frendly staff speaking English. Good continental breakfast.

“Great location for train travelers”

I had a single room. By American standards the bed was the size of a cot and the room the size of a cell in a monastery, but with 4 pay porno channels it was definitely not for monks. As I traveled around Germany the bed size and small spartan room seem to be standard for less expensive hotels. The breakfast was great. I especially liked the location close to the Hauptbahnhof and connections to all local public transportation. For those who need a homebase for daytrips,it is great. If you get a good rate, take it.

Hotel was perfect for my needs. Somewhere centrally located, clean and cheap. Staff was excellent,helped me with my shopping needs. Breakfast was typical continental. No free TV though and my shower wouldn't drain.

great value for money. near central station & ubahn. old town close by staff very efficient and helpful. eur4.00 for the breakfast well worth it. no it's not 5 star but you get exactly what you pay for

“Mondial Hotel”

Wife and I were looking for a bargain priced hotel for our city break in Dusseldorf. Having read other reviews the Mondial seemed worth a try. Close to the central railway station and therefore the excellent German transport system. The staff are very friendly welcoming and we were unexpectantly checked in at 10-30am , a bonus as check in seems to be 2pm we were asked if we would like a front or back of the hotel room and as the weather would mean having the window open chose the rear to avoid noise from the main road. (While we were out the hotel even put a desk fan in our room) I would ask for extra pillows as the Germans don't do British style. The small-ish room met its needs large bed, desk , fridge, shower , if you want luxury accom go someplace else , we were there to see Dusseldorf Not the inside of a hotel room. The room was well serviced daily (towels etc) and the reception staff more than helpfull with maps , info , directions etc. Breakfast Buffet looked good although we chose to eat out . (plenty of choice around the city) The location of this Hotel is good for getting about being close to the Central station and transport hub but some travellers may find the area a bit BEIGE / rough although there are a couple of better class hotels in the same area. Good Budget Hotel , you get what you pay for.

“Great deal and a great location”

This hotel was a great deal in a great location- walking distance to everything. It's a "no frills" kind of place..but really how much time do you really spend in a room when traveling anyway? Continental breakfast was nice. Guy at the front desk was very friendly and spoke English very well. Note for women= there is a hair dryer in the room! This is important for light travelers like myself :)

This is a basic, clean hotel. Very kind staff. Next to center. Good/payable parking in the neibourghood. Everything one needs for a citytrip.
