“Comfortable, friendly,”

I found this hotel to be friendly and comfortable. The service was excellent, the rooms are very clean and totally acceptable for a three star hotel. I stayed one night then re-booked for a further night. There are little issues that could be improved upon but as I stated previously, it is three star.Should I be in the area I would not hesitate to use this hotel again.

“Can't Wait To Go Back”

This hotel has eveything one needs for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It's not just the room but the staff that makes your stay comfortable and the staff at this hotel are second to none, truly fantastic. The bar is very relaxing and has an outside deck for those who want to enjoy a smoke, the resturants have fantastic food or if you want they also provide room service. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

“Excellent value”

Good, clean hotel with courteous and friendly staff. Modest rates and good value restaurant and good bar meals. Surprisingly quiet considering this is within sight of Teeside Int'l runway. Interesting history WWII Canadian RAF base.

“Average”

A little dated but not bad for one night stay. I would not go there for more than one night and will not pick it again unless there is no alternative. Overall, a little disappointing.

“Bandits at four o'clock”

Bomber command HQ - now converted to a hotel - highlight is the officers mess bar - relive the Biggles era in the oak pannelled guard room - Room excellent - militarily efficient - Wonderful iron - comfy bed - efficient alarm call - Bar/ restaurant veery short staffed, but food great once it eventually turned up

“FAULTY TOWERS”

The St George hotel is very tired and out dated. My room was old fashioned and the bathroom wall tiles were lifting at the corners with mould travelling up the wall. The shower now thats a classic, the water temperature can't be regulated either too hot or stone cold. The shower head trickles water through at a very slow pressure and therefore my usual shower routine took nearly half an hour. I ordered room service and the salad looked wiltered and soaky definately had seen better days, and not to mention the bed is uncomfortable, I'll never stay here again,,,,,,,very disappointing!!!
