Service courtois et sympathique, chambre confortable mais les oreillers étaient de piètres qualité. Douche correct mais sans plus (chaleur de l’eau et jet).

Durham est une magnifique petite ville construite sur un promontoire sur le quel ont été construit un château et une cathédrale, et dans laquelle coule une rivière.La cathédrale est sublime .Elle mérite une visite. L'histoire de la ville y est intimement liée. On peux déjeuner le midi dans de merveilleux petits cafés!!!!les sandwichs sont divins. Autant dire que nous avons apprécié notre séjour.....sans compter avec les bords de la mer du Nord!!! Notamment le Château de Bamburgh établi sur la plage!!!

Hotel au service irréprochable.
Durham est une magnifique petite ville où il fait bon flâner... Il y a des petits cafés dans lesquels on y mange de délicieux sandwiches.... Coté historique, Il faut visiter absolument visiter La cathédrale!!! Il y a aussi le musée oriental qui vaut le détour. Et la côte de la mer du nord... Banburgh et son chateau sur la plage. Le parc du Northumberland... Je vous recommande vraiment cette jolie région;

Aspect général pas très frais bien que pas de problème de propreté. Personnel charmant et aux petits soins. Déjeuner non exceptionnel mais restaurant délicieux, et serveur tres gentil...notre meilleur souvenir à Andreas!

The parking convenience was good out side the room. But the hanging baskets were all dead and woul have looked better replaced with fresh plants or removed.

Overall a good place to stay however the walls were a little thin and the room although comfortable needed a little freshening up. The room service was average eg wet towel was left on our bed. Required a little more attention to detail

This was the only place to stay on our walk between two churches and we were really grateful to find it! It was fine, warm, loads of hot water, reasonably clean, but kind of had the feel of a slightly unloved motel - nobody had scrubbed the grout in the bathroom recently, the taps swivelled alarmingly when you tried to use them. The rooms were surprisingly quiet given the hotel sits on a roundabout and the view across the fields was great. Some of the staff were lovely and friendly.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. bathroom is bit tired looking. 1st time I have ever said the shower was too hot and I could not get it cool enough to use, but bath only took seconds to fill up. Very good value for money.

I paid £11.50 for the breakfast. When they brought it, it was having a long hair on the top of egg and sausage like a ribbon.. so couldn’t have breakfast. Horrible to start the day with hairy breakfast…

The bed was very comfortable and clean and the facilities in the bathroom were spotless. The decor in the room was very tired and in need of a little bit of TLC. The bar and breakfast area were really comfortable and the food was delicious. Staff absolutely great, very friendly and helpful.

Have stayed at the Honest Lawyer several times as it’s convenient for visiting family. The furnishing are lovely, the bed and linen are clean and comfy. However, the bathroom could do with some TLC. We will stay again.

Good hotel on outskirts of Durham
The hotel provides small but functional en suite rooms which were warm and clean. It is also dog friendly. The restaurant meal was good value with very generous portions of well made food

The location of the hotel, just outside Durham is great. The hotel has free parking which is ideal and as this is a motel, you can park at your room. The main part of the hotel doesn’t have a good atmosphere, seems like there is no where for staff to meet other than the main reception area so when you go in for breakfast you are met by staff having breaks or getting ready for their day. Felt like you were interrupting them. The staff in the restaurant are lovely. Excellent service from them for dinner and breakfast. Food was good. The room we had was comfortable but things like light shades needed replaced. One was actually in bits! Although the room was clean the bathroom had a layer of dust on some surfaces which wasn’t very nice. We were only there for a couple of days so our stay was fine, but stayed here before a few years ago and it’s definitely not as good as it was then which is a shame.

Me & my daughter usually stay at this hotel as it’s convenient when visiting family. The staff are very friendly & welcoming & check in is easy. We had one of the outside rooms & when we walked in, it was warm & cosy, but also clean. The tv worked great & good tea/coffee making facilities. I’ve got to say the beds were really comfy & we had the best nights sleep, it probably helped that we had a room away from the busy road & overlooking the fields at the back.
