“Excellent Holiday”
Quality Accomodation with great facilities. Very friendly staff. Beautiful part of Colorado. Booked an extra night because we liked it so much. Would definitely go back
“Great place”
Cascade Village is a great place in the mountains to stay. It was very neat and clean and all kitchen utensils were there because we like to cook in a few nights! We got clean towels everyday! The view from the balcony and everywhere around was breathtaking!! Very few people were there this time of year, so it was very quiet. We would stay there again and it was a great price too! There is plenty of hiking, sightseeing and restaurants to go nearby!
“Best value I have had in a long time”
Best value I have had in a long time
“Great in the winter, amazing in fall”
I've been here in both the winter as the fall. In the winter it's conveniently located close to the great slopes. In the fall (October!) it's a plus that it's located up on the mountain. Why? Well.. because you have to drive down to Durango and the drive is absolutely breathtaking. Unless you hate the colors of the fall. It's a little expensive for the fall, though. There were not a lot of people there so it was a little like we had the place to ourselves. Also it's clearly meant for skiers, but that's hardly an issue. Still.. makes you wonder if more people would've been there if it was a little cheaper. Anyway.. had a great time there. Good Colorado time!
“Very Nice”
We loved our stay at Cascade Village. Our room was clean and nice. The bed was comfortable. It was great to have a full kitchen stocked with dishes, pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker etc. We had a great time at the pool too. I wish we could have stayed longer. We are looking forward to staying there again. The only down side to the whole stay is that we arrived when it was dark and we couldn't find the room right away.
“Can't wait to go back!”
EXCELLENT!
“INCREDIBLE VALUE AND GREAT GETAWAY LOCATION”
This place is very nice and serves as a great getaway if you plan on visiting areas between Silverton and Durango. The condos are about 2 miles north of the ski resort and definitely away from the bustle of Durango. I stayed near Ouray for the first part of my trp and once I arrived here, my family agreed, we should have booked our entire stay here. The rooms are very nice and have that ski resort feel to them. We stayed in a suite that had a king size master with a large living area complete with a large comformtable sleeper sofa. We had two rooms, but the suite would have easily accomodated all four of us. The kitchen was nicely apportioned with quality appliances as well as plates/settings. The WIFI connection was fast and met my needs. Our suite included a fireplace and suppy of wood. The bathroom was very large and comfortable and included a jacuzzi tub.The living area included a large table that could easily seat 6 adults. The furnishings and bedding were luxurious..The king size bed in the master was very comfy and they incuded plenty of pillows and extra comforters for those chilly mountin nights nights. The bottom line: I am already planning my next trip to the San Juans in a few weeks and I will be staying here.My one recommendation is that you ask for a suite higher up the mountainside if you don't like to occasional sound of traffic from the highway.
“Want to escape people?”
If you really want to get away from it all, then this is the place to come ( in May anyway). Not a soul around. Stock up on groceries ( and laundry powder) before you go because it's a 40 minute drive to Durango. And there is no wi-fi or phone reception in the room.
“A few issues, but definitely will go back”
We were happy with Cascade Village. Our family enjoyed the pool, hot tub and just the overall beautiful scenery. However, there were a few minor problems. On the first day, the master bath shower would not drain. The maintenance person quickly repaired it. Also, on one of the days there was a problem with the key card reader on our door not working. It was also repaired quickly and we were able to return to our room. The hotel personnel were very nice and helpful. Although this is an older hotel, our family would not hesitate to go back!!!
“Comfortable”
The condos that we stayed in were large and comfortable. We were upgraded to a larger condo upon check in. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. The only negative was that there was no air conditioning - so that the afternoons in the condo were a little warm. With windows open, it was plenty cool by early evening. Cascade Village was well kept and Durango Mountain Resort was very close. Good place for the $$.
