The check-in process went pretty smoothly for a room that I had book only a few hours before arriving. I did not arrive until nearly 4am and the lady at the front counter was clearly tired. She wasn't rude per se but probably not as friendly as she might have been if it wasn't so late.
Overall there were no major issues with my room. The only complaint within the room was with the sleeper sofa. The fabric was clearly stained and it didn't close all the way. The condition was so poor that it should not have been in the room at all. I refuse to sit on it or put my luggage on it. Otherwise, the room was fine. The air conditioner worked but there isn't a thermostat. Therefore, it was either on or not. After awhile, I cut if off in order to get rid of the constant noise from it.
Breakfast was pretty disappointing. In fact after taking a good look, I passed. I expected to at least have eggs and breakfast meat of some sort but it was only cereal, muffins, and do it yourself waffles. Instead, I tried to get a coffee to go but they didn't have caps for the cups. Rather than ending up with the coffee all over my clothes, I just passed and went to a McDonald's.
Overall, the place was well worth what I paid for it. I was only passing through and it's location right off of the interstate was perfect. The gym only contained one treadmill, one elliptical, and one weight machine. The pool was indoor but I didn't try it. For the price, I would return if needed.
The room layout was great. A nice little sitting area and work area separate from the bed. I didn't spend too much time in the room except to sleep but there was a very noisy air conditioner in it, making for a stuffy night, and one of the sitting area lights was burned out. I was disappointed that the shuttle did not wait in the morning even though there had been a specific time request logged by the evening staff.
Staff was excellent, professional, and polite. You have to pull the shower knobs out very hard, you'll think it's broken, but it's not. The doors are a little finicky about reading the cards. Rooms are clean if facilities a little dated. Air conditioning was spectacular. I would go again.
i really enjoyed my brief stay. The hotel at first didn't look like anyone was staying there but me. Later that night I looked at my window and it was full. You would think by it being RIGHT on the main highway you would hear noise but I heard NOTHING. I will be a returning guest in the future.
