“First impression on entering room was welcoming”

“It was OK for business use.”

I stayed on 3 separate visits, the first for one week where the room smelt strongly of paint having just had the bathroom tiles painted - I would have sacked the decorators for the shoddy way in which it was done. I was woken by a group of very noisy guests from just before 5am until I got up at 7am on the Friday mnorning. The second and third times were for one night each - the first room was at the back of the hotel which was OK but the second was at the front and was noisy with traffic from 4am onwards and I was again woken up early. This is not good when a full days work has to be completed followed by a long drive home afterwards, as was also the case the previous week. If this had been a Premier Inn, they promise a refund in such cases. I think I will find another hotel for my next visits. I was also unempressed when I went into the dining room on the second visit after a long drive, after finding the staff after waiting nearly 10 minutes, I was told that I would have to wait between an hour to an hour and a half to be served because of a birthday party. There was nobody in the dining room at that time and I would have thought one meal could have been prepared before they came in. To add insult to injury, I was informaed that the group were not even residents at the hotel.

“Good Choice for Short Stay”

Unusually helpful and friendly staff. Room quite small, but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Good restaurant. I'd go back. It's value for money.

The hotel staff were really friendly. A relaxed atmosphere. Room basic but clean and comfortable. Would definately stay there again.

old & shaby 2`6" singal beds , holiday inn has 3`6". No way a 3 star, but on plus side it's cheap
