“The most relaxing holiday....”
In a beautiful setting with a wonder ful view, and with the spa pools and saunas, this was the place to go for a completely relaxing holiday. The service was excellent and friendly, and we came back feeling we had had a real break. No beach, but crystal clear seas and skies
“Couldn't fault this hotel”
Prior to booking the Rixos we read all the reviews and went armed with shower gel and other toiletries and not certain what we were going to find. We need not have feared, it was a near perfect hotel from all aspects. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was incredible- there was absolutely everything that you could possibly want available, all the rooms had a balcony and wonderful sea view and everyday the showergel and other toiletries were replenished! If I was really trying to find fault the one thing would be that the face clothes were removed 2 days and not replaced until we asked for them to be. The turkish delight by the front door was a lovely touch. Whilst there we did witness other guests causing the reception staff alot of grief for trivial matters and they dealt with these people so politely and so efficiently. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel

Hotel very clean and comfortable. Great place for a few days stay. Good location- 20 minute picturesque walk from the old town.
“Honeymooners”
The hotel is beautiful however a closer look reveals areas poor construsction. Don't get me wrong- it is fantastic but for a five star I expected a little more. The room was nice but the white carpet was grey and the common areas had strage odors. The staff was friendly and more than willing to help if you asked. They were kind enough to leave us fruit and champagne for our honeymoon. The location is perfect- it is directly on the sea with a beautiful view and only a 15min walk to the old town. I would go back in a heart beat! The city is clean, the people are wonderful and the views are amazing!

Sea view is breath taking. Friendly staff. Clean surroundings. Rooms are clean. The only disappointment was the plumming was not uptorest of the hotel standard in that both the bath & the sink were blocked!!

“Rixos Libertas usine à touristes”
L'hotel est très grand, très bien situé face à la mer à 15 , 20 mn à pied de la vieille ville. L'hotel est immense, pendant 3 jours nous étions les seuls quasiment à fréquenter les lieux. Ce qui avait un coté un peu surréaliste. Ensuite en fin de semaine l'hotel fut presque complet, ce qui lui donnait une atmosphère de fourmillère, une usine! Puis les marteaux piqueurs sont arrives de 10h à 17 h30 samedi, dimanche. De nombreuses malfaçons nécessitent cette intervention. Malgré cela l'hotel est beau, très design, mais aussi très impersonnel. Le personnel est agréable et prévenant mais aussi anonyme. En haute saison cela doit être infernal.
“The most incompetent service in Dubrovnik”
I have never seen such incompetent hotel staff in my entire life. While they are courteous and sweet, they were frustratingly incompetent. At the pool restaurant, with only about two or three tables per waiter, we ended up waiting forever for them to take the order, then to bring the bill, then to take money for the bill. In the evening, it took the waitress about ten minutes to bring a glass of wine, and then another five to bring a glass of wine for the second person. Having confirmed three times about what exactly we wanted off the menu, still got the wrong thing. These were little things, and maybe we just got unlucky, but it was one frustration after another. The hotel is gorgeous, amazing balconies overlooking the sea and the city where you can sunbathe, and large, comfortable rooms. The only strange thing was the completely see-through bath. Thankfully, the toilet area had a solid door. It is also pretty conveniently located, only about 15 minutes to get to the Old Town along the coast with some breathtaking views.

“Early October 2009”
Nice enough hotel but I guess it was off putting in that it is very minimalist and the rooms a bit dull ie all grey and white. The swimming pool is the warmest I have been in it was like getting into a bath. Breakfast was very good and the service was okay. Main gripe is that they are charging 5 star prices for what is essentially a 4 star hotel but that is Dubrovnik for you.
