“Dubrovnik - We will be back”
We had great time in Dubrovnik and the hotel was an excelent option. The Excelsion is a classic hotel, renewed, with fantastic facilities, friendly staff and good location. This experience exceeds our expectation. We will be back there
“Wonderful hotel!”
We stayed at the Excelsior this year to try something different after staying within the walled city. Was perfect and maybe even easier than staying inside the city as you don't have to worry about lugging your suitcase to your hotl or finding parking. The hotel is located very close walking distance to the gates to the walled city. Very safe and you pass little kiosks to get water, beer, telephone cards etc. Although there is one main public beach in Dubrovnik, the hotel has its own private one which is great and not congested. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. Lots of variety and even included some speciality items like scrambled eggs with truffle shavings and sparkling wine for mimosas. Our room had a beautiful view of the sea with huge windows you can leave open at night and fall asleep to the gentle sounds of the waves. The occitane toiletries were a nice treat.
“Wonderful Croatia”
I went with my husband for a three night Easter get away and couldn't have chosen a better place. Hotel was perfect, we've travelled a lot and was probably the most spacious room we've ever stayed in. Lovely marble bathroom with seperate shower and bath. Although it wasn't located within the city walls it was only a 5 minute walk which allowed us to walk off dinner and take in the view of the sea. Will hopefully return!
“Excelsior”
La vue est magnifique, à l'ouest, le port et les remparts de Dubrovnik au sud et à l'est, la mer, les iles et le balai des yachts. L'hotel est en bord de mer et dispose d'un quai/plage qui est très agréable pour se baigner et prendre le soleil, La piscine couverte est très agréable aussi. La vielle ville de Dubrovnik est à 5 minutes de marche.
“5 Star”
Wonderful place to stay in Dubrovnik. Best view of the Old City from across the water and a short walk to the main gates. Staff was EXCELLENT in every department. Breakfast choices were good - something for everyone. We ate dinner there as well and truly enjoyed the food and experience. The only reason you shouldn't stay there is if it's fully booked....
“Definitely a 5 plus hotel”
Hotel location is perfect; within easy walking distance to city walls. Hotel personnel were extremely helpful and pleasant. One of the few hotels which had access to a beach. Breakfast buffet had an excellent selection of hot and cold items, fruit and baked goods. Beautiful view from restaurant patio area of city and sea.
“Breathtaking Views”
Booked last minute and Expedia staff were excellent when we called them needing help with on line booking. Flight with British Airways was good, seating more 'roomy' than our usual experience with other airlines and the staff were really cheerful. Transfer arranged with hotel via expedia staff was superb, top notch BMW and professional but friendly driver. On arrival at the hotel we were suitably impressed by the helpful and professional staff and the hotel facilities and cleanliness. The gym, pool, sauna, & jacuzzis were fabulous. On our first walk down the hill into the old town we were taken aback by the astounding beauty of the view before us, it took our breath away! During our stay we walked around the old town and soaked up the culture and history, we learnt a lot. We sampled the local cuisine which was mostly fantastic, the sea food was outstanding. Only one disappointing restaurant which was empty so that should have been a clue! Definitely a place to return to in warmer weather. :)
“Best hotel in Dubrovnik”
We were travelling with our children and had asked in advance for interconnecting rooms - which the hotel had organised for us. The quality of the accommodation and facilities at the Hotel Excelsior were generally excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The indoor pool and spa complex was particularly good. Well worth a visit.
“Exelcior à Dubrovnik : à proximité de la vieille ville”
Hôtel parfaitement situé proche de la vieille ville et donnant sur la mer. Hôtel de style moderne, décor contemporain, peut-être un peu froid. Chambre spacieuse, propre, sobre. Accueil chaleureux.
“Excellent Hotel”
This was our first trip to Dubrovnik. What an amazing place! We loved the Hotel Excelsior and highly recommend.
