“Perfect hotel !”
It was great hotel. All staffs were very professional and had great hospitality. Reception, room, pool, restaurants, hallway etc it was hard to find trash even dust. Bed mattress was very nice and confortable. You can sleep very well. I would like to go back to Dubrovnik again and definetly chose Dubrovnik Palace Hotel again. It is far from old town but don't worry. You can catch a local bus in front of this hotel every 15 mins. It is cheap, safe and convinience.
“I'll definitely return to Dubrovnik, and I'll absolutely stay at this hotel”
What more can I say than all that you can read at the hotel's webpage? It is all true...exercise room with a spectacular view, clubs, pools, luxury that is accommodating rather than intimidating, distance to the beach/water, room service, money exchange, staff courtesy, onsite entertainment, onsite excursion experts, in-hotel dive shop, spa, etc., etc., etc.
“Excellent place to stay”
Great facilities and services. Staff were all extremely helpful and friendly; the hotel setting on the rocky shore is used to excellent effect (outside swimming pools and dining area, direct access to sea swimming area, scuba diving courses), and overall the hotel is an extremely relaxing place to stay. The hotel is some distance from the old town of Dubrovnik, but a regular city bus service (every 20 mins, takes 15 mins) leaves from the front of the hotel and continues late into the evening - and given how crowded the old town gets, staying further out has its advantages. There are no alternative dining options in the immediate vicinity, but the hotel restaurants are good and offer a wide choice - only slight disappointment for us was that at the time of our stay then the sushi bar had not yet opened for the season.
“WOW”
I do not know where to begin - we have travelled extensively and this is in the top three hotels we have stayed in. And to think it was my second choice. I would go to Dubrovnik just to stay in this hotel. Very cheap in Canadian Dollars - comparatively speaking. AND THEY UPGRADED US TO A SUITE!!! (time of year of course). An amazing hotel, well situated, with a spectacular breakfast, friendly staff and wonderfull water access. Can not say enough good about this hotel.
“Wonderful place for holidaying with children”
The views from the hotel rooms are wonderful, rooms are comfortable, service is excellent, food is well prepared and tasty, swimming pools well maintained. We found the staff friendly and helpful. Our only criticisms were infrequency of bus shuttle to centre of Dubrovnik, and lack of children's entertainment on the TV -- absolutely no children's films.
“Great hotel”
Fab location on the tip of the lapad peninsular and an easy courtesy bus or paid bus trip into town. Lovely pools and plenty of quiet terraces to sunbathe on and direct access into the beautiful water. A very calm chilled atmosphere (even in the high season). The downside for us was Dubrovnik old town which was oppressively busy, cruise ships regularly deposit 1,000's of camera clad sightseers on a mission. Food was really awful and terribly expensive - which was a real downside to our stay. If budget isn't a concern I would just hole up at the hotel - it's the perfect place to chill.
“Worth it.”
The Palace is not the least expensive place to stay in Dubrovnik. But it is worth every penny. Beautiful setting, beautiful view from every room A large pool but you can also jump straight into the warm Adriatic sea. Excellent breakfast included. Fifteen minutes from the Old City by local bus which is always available, Or splurge on a cab. Only negative is the dining room. The food is simply not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. (However the sushi bar is first-rate.) Dining room aside, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone except those traveling on a tight budget.
“Spectacular property!”
This is a fine hotel. The views of the Adriatic from your room's balcony are suuper! The hotel is right on the bus line into town (about 15 minutes) and is in a beautiful area. The breakfast buffet was grand. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and accomodating. Dubrovnik is a beautiful city and this hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting.
“Would highly recommend this hotel”
Well located hotel, close to local restaurants etc. Very nice pool area.
“Excellent”
Excellent Hotel, beautiful views and great sunsets, very friendly staff. We worried the distance from the town would be a problem but the bus left every twenty mins from outside the hotel and only took ten mins. We went in April and the weather was excellent and the town was quiet, so was the hotel - though a few big conferences started - including the President of Croatia. We would highly recomend the food, which was as good as the best restaurants in town - Nautica, Proto and the open-air seafood restaurant at the harbor (much cheaper) - were the best in our opinion. The hotel's buffet breakfast weren't as good but there was a good choice. The outside pool was still closed, but the Spa facilities and inside pool were excellent - watching the sun set from the two jaccuzis was brilliant.
