“Excellent location and service”
My wife and I spent 5 nights at the Arlington during the Queens visit. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The dance show at the bar area nightly was exceptional as was the breakfast and all the staff. It is about a 10 minute walk to almost all tourist attractions and just around the corner from O'Connel street bus stops and Luas stop. The place has real Irish character and friendliness.
“good value”
I stayed at the Arlington for three days in July 2009. The room for dublin prices was very good value.I stayed in room 106 which was rather noisy as it was beside a youth hostel,it was not a major problem. the hotel is close to o'connell street, just a minute's walk and temple bar. The room was very big and clean, clean bathroom plenty of hot water,tv worked. The front staff were very friendly, I will go back there again this November as I will be in Ireland. It is about a 8-10 minute walk to the bus station and it your bags are to heavy the front staff will call a taxi which is about 6 euros. As a Dubliner this is great value. There was no air conditioner but that was not a problem. Regards Grania
“Highly recommended”
Great location, right on the Liffey and close to all shops, bars and attractions. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful and were able to answer all our questions. The restaurant and bar attached to the hotel were good too, with Irish music every night. The only gripe we had was the view (or lack of one) from the room but apart from that i'll definitely stay here again
“une adresse à retenir”
tres bon hotel, bien situé agreable et tres bonne ambiance (pub au RDC)
“Good Value”
This was a perfect location in Dublin. Room was large and clean. Restaurant has live entertainment every night - fun! I could see a couple possible problems to watch out for. 1) Rooms in the old part of hotel where I stayed have no elevator which could be a problem for some. 2) I asked for a room on the third floor to avoid street and lounge noise. This was very quiet, but I guess it wouldn't be so on the first floor).
“Situation idéale, au coeur des centres d'intérêt de Dublin, on peut tout faire à pied. Génial !”
Excellent hôtel, bonnes prestations, l'essentiel y est. Un peu de bruit le soir mais ça reste tout à fait acceptable, en tout cas cela ne nous a pas empêcher de dormir. La situation est idéale, Temple bar de l'autre côté du pont, c'est parfait !
“A very good choice!”
The hotel is in an ideal location right in the centre of Dublin. As the city is quite compact you can walk to most attractions from the hotel. It also had a bar with Irish dancing shows every night or lots of nearby restaurants. The food in the hotel was quite expensive so we didn't eat there. Our room was tucked around the back so there was no street noise but there was an annoying generator that I did get used to. The rooms were all recently renovated to a high standard. They were both comforatable and clean. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helped in any way possible. At no extra cost the hotel allowed us to leave our bags there before we checked in and after we had checked out. This meant we were free to enjoy the rest of our stay before going to the airport. I would most definitely stay in this hotel again and can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, quality hotel with an ideal location.
“We will return”
My husband and myself took his elderly parents for a 4 day break to Dublin. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel in a better location. The Arlington was positioned perfectly for site seeing and access to public transport. The staff at the Arlington were so friendly, welcoming and always happy to help, from the moment we arrived to the moment we returned to pick up our bags to head off to the airport I could not fault the service we received. This was our first time in Dublin and we can't wait to go back, we crammed so much in, but there's still loads more to see, but when we do go back we will definitely being staying at the Arlington Hotel and would like to thank all the staff at the Arlington for an amazing break.
“Great Location in Dublin”
I rated this hotel excellent in everything. It was charming and clean. It is attached to a bar that has free Irish entertainment (singers and dancers) at 9:00 p.m. every night. While this is great that you can just go up to your room afterwards, make sure your room is not near the bar as I did hear a little of the music at night from my room, but not enough to keep me awake. It is also a few steps from the main street where you can catch a bus easily and about 2 blocks away from the city tram that will take you to the train station.
“A pleasant surprise.”
After staying in Dublin hostels in the past, I expected that a single accomodation at the Arlington would entail getting a small single bed and less service for being a client who got a hotel discount. Luckily, none of the above happened. I got a double bed, excellent housekeeping and great front desk service. The bar off of the lobby got really busy with tourists and I was happy that there was a security person who restricted access to the general public during the night time. I could not hear any noise up in my room too.
