“Great, cheap stay in a great part of Dublin”
It's like a posh Jury's Inn. But the staff a friendly, the rooms are great and the location is excellent
“Will stay again.”
Had a wonderfull stay. Great location, bus from airport drops you at the door and other buses from town close buy. Hotel and staff were great!!
“Completely satisfied”
The staff of the hotel and of the dining room, lounge, etc were most accomodating and pleasant. We were welcomed as cherished guests. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.
“V friendly, helpful staff, nice rooms, good food, great bars. Wireless internet extremely expensive and patchy though.”
Title says is all - would definitely recommend it. Big problem for me was that wireless internet was 20 Euro for 24 hours, only could be purchased from a gift shop which closed after business hours, and was patchy around the hotel. They need to fix this. Otherwise, would recommend it. Free parking. 20 minute walk into the city centre. Nice bars in the hotel itself and nearby.
“Convenient, quiet”
We got a good price for the double bed room, and although we overlooked an inside courtyard with an empty pool, the room was comfortable and we liked the quiet of the inside court. Parking was a breeze and the staff very friendly and helpful. It was an 8 euro cab ride to the center of town, 2 euro on the bus, and a 20 min walk to Centre City Dublin.
“Excellent Value For Money”
Excellent Value for money.
“Fantastic Hotel and Location!”
All the staff was very helpful. The upgrade rates were very cheap and the rooms were very nice. The bus stop to take you to the middle of the city is right outside the hotel and is only about a 10-15 minute bus ride. The only thing that could have been better was fluffier pillows, they were a little flat!
“Great Location”
At first I was worried we'd be far from the City Centre, however it was only a 15 - 20 minute walk to Grafton St. straight up Baggot St. Great shops and pubs along the way, and St. Stephen's Green too. The only surprise was that wi-fi and parking were quite expensive add-ons compared to hotels in Canada, and a double room was understood as 1 double bed, not a room for 2 people. (with two beds). Great morning cafe and staff, awesome location!
“D4 Ballsbridge inn”
Great hotel, very friendly staff, great location, and good price.
“Nice hotel”
Location: 10 mins by bus into the centre (1.90euros) or about a 30min walk (i you walk you can stop off at the beautiful Merrion Square, St Stevens Green and national Gallery on the way in). Rooms: very comfortable, clean, nice shower/bath, tea/coffee, spacious. The only negative was that we were close to the lifts and could here people talking in the corridors quite loudly as they walked past. I would recommend requesting a room at the end of a corridor. Internet only 21euros for 5 days! Staff/pub: The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful - very pleasant welcome. We ate a The Dubliner pub (in the hotel) one night though and the service there was not so good - I think the waiter may have been new as there was no eye-contact or interaction and he delivered our food without taking away empty glasses or the dirty plates on our table. The chips were nice (but overpriced for such small portions),the soup was not so nice. We didn't try the hotel restaurant so can't comment on that. There's a lovely cafe/pub 2 mins walk from the hotel called Roly's, which I recommend for breakfast/cakes. Overall: good location, comfortable rooms, would stay again.
