“Dublin Avondale House”

Friendly staff. Let me check in early and helped me find activities to do while I was in town as well as find my way around. Centrally located and walking distance to ALL the attractions and really reasonably priced. Served breakfast, but I didn't get up in time to eat so I'm not sure how decent it was.

bon prix pour cet hôtel dont il manque un double vitrage pour pas avoir l'impression de dormir les fenêtres ouvertes coté rue... boules quies impératives!

“Clean, Cheap and Central but not hugely comfortable”

Cheap and in good location. Room was very small though - virtually the entire room was taken up by the bed (which was quite uncomfortable). Room was non-smoking, but opening the window would give you a fresh supply from other rooms. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great though! Depends what you are after with this hotel - clean and basic in a great location in Dublin 1 just off O'Connell St but not one in which to spend any time in your room.

“Great location, but not much else to recommend”

We were expecting an authentic Irish hotel, but soon found that the staff were all foreign and spoke limited English. The cooked breakfast was excellent, and the location is second to none. However the room was basic and a little shabby, the shared toilets were just about adequate, (although in need of repairs, as they did not always flush properly), and the shower ran hot and cold. Guests are given one pillow each, and our request for a second was refused! As a base to explore the city it was perfect, but in terms of atmosphere and comfort it left a lot to be desired. Great for backpacking, or for an 'adequate' economy stay, but if you want charming hospitality or a romantic atmosphere, forget it!

“Not Impressed”

The hotel was very small. The rooms were practically just the bed. The shared toliets were unclean and disgusting.
