Definitely not for Western Expats! Also, renovations underway spoiled the visit.

Not a five star hotelPosted 7-Jun-2014
Pros: Nothing really except the Lebanese food restaurant had decent food
Cons: Hotel needs an overhaul. Pool water was extremely dirty and way overcrowded.
Location: Close to the JBR walk and marina
We are used to Dubai hotels where all the furniture and carpet and amenities in the room are new. This was a surprise to us. We had to pay for Internet and you could only have one device. If you have two iPads, you have to pay for Internet twice. Our car came scratched and dirtied with smudges on the right side of it, the duty manager said that they only have white markings on their cars usually and so the black ones are not from his hotel. The pool is outdated and overcrowded with people who apparently are from the yearly membership and not really staying at the hotel. The staff of the pool area were rude at times.

Good stay overall minus the free wifiPosted 27-May-2014
Good location near jbr walk, beach and mall. Good facilities and staff expect for the absence of free wifi.

Fab hotel...would definitely stay there again!Posted 23-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel was fantastic. The staff were extremely attentive, the hotel was immaculately clean and the facilities were very good. I only scored a 4 for 'comfort of your room' as the third bed could have been more comfortable. We didn't mind this too much as the view from our room really made up for it. Balcony views of the sea, the Palm and the Atlantis Hotel was amazing! As regards the score of 4 for 'convenience of hotel location', everywhere in Dubai seems to be quite spread out (not a fault of the hotel!!). However, it is situated in a lovely area right onto the beach and a very short walk from Dubai Marina. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubai.

Pleasant hotel with access to the beachPosted 22-Apr-2014
Pros: Liked the size and view from room. Beach was great
Cons: Tea and coffee facilities were not always well stocked. Breakfast needs more fresh fruit options.
Location: Dubai marina is close by and would recommend a drink or meal at the Marriott conservatory which overlooks the palm.
The room was clean and had a nice view over looking the beach. Breakfast was average, drinks at the hotel were expensive. Taxis were sometimes difficult to locate unless you allowed staff to negotiate a deal for you, thus how economical this was is difficult to evaluate. Taxis needed to access marina, downtown dubai and madinat thus adds to the cost of your holiday and should be part of your budget. Beach clean, and beach side food tasty. Dubai is never a cheap little get away!

Nearly a 10/10 but no free WiFiPosted 18-Apr-2014
Pros: The cleanness of the facilities and the efficient concierge service.
Cons: Please provide complimentary Wi-Fi.
Location: The Marina is a walking distance away and has loads of shops, restaurants and amenities there. The local skydiving centre is a brisk walk away.
I would definitely go back to this hotel again!! The location is absolutely perfect and is only a few minutes walk from the Marina and local shops. The metro is a 10 min walk away so you can save loads on transport. The hotel itself is immaculate. All of the hotel facilities are perfect. My room was cleaned everyday and fresh linen was provided everyday. The hotel concierge was really helpful and catered for all my request. However, the staff at the restaurant were really rude. Perhaps it was because I was the only Asian person at the resort. Although I ordered a lot of food and mock-tails, I felt pressurised to quickly finish up at the restaurant as I did was not buying alcoholic drinks or did not fit in with the guests. The beach is absolutely stunning and very clean and they have a few beach activities there. The skydiving centre is next door and everyday you can see people jumping out of the plane. I tried it out and it must not be missed. The horizon pool is a must see. It has stunning views of the Atlantis and the Burj Al Arab. Make sure you pay a visit at night as the pool area becomes lively. The only downside to this hotel was there was no complimentary Wi-Fi even though the hotel rating is 5 star! Additionally there was an onsite beach club and the music was loud at night. As we stayed in the Tower the noise was not an issue.

Large hotel, lots to do.Posted 13-Apr-2014
A nice hotel with a lot to do. Great location and good pool for children. Great restaurants on the complex. Lovely gym which was very clean. The beach was idyllic. The breakfasts were very expensive so we went elsewhere lots to choose from on the walk). Got very busy on a Friday (weekend in UAE) and the hotel staff started to struggle with cleanliness plus suddenly there was lots of loud techno music?! The kids club staff weren't very engaging which was disappointing. Otherwise great for kids especially the pool and water slide.
Not as I acpictPosted 6-Apr-2014
I feel little disappoint when I took my room it was old fation and in ground floor far away from the pool and the beach also very noisy and evry 5mints their is a golf car pass besaid my window The good thing that they have different choice from restaurants and clubs so I advise people to visit the place not stay there
