“A very good hotel. I was Very pleased with the staff, they helped me with all that I asked for.”
The hotel was nice. I cant say enough good things about the staff-VERY helpfull!!!! The area was nice, upkept-I felt safe walking alone at night. I was real impresed at the hotels energy saveings-very smart on their part. In whole-I would go back
“Central Location, Easy Parking”
The hotel was super clean, nicely decorated with contemporary furniture. Loved the foggy bathroom window per switch. I found the staff quite helpful as well. Free Dresden brochures can be found at the lobby as well. Easy parking right underneath the hotel. Also convenient location. Just a stone throw away from the Zwinger and historical downtown. I highly recommend this hotel.
“Most Comfortable hotel of our trip.”
Of a 2 week tour of Germany and 8 hotels this was the only one with a/c. Within walking distance to the city's sight. Staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke English well. They offered a breakfast and called us a taxi for us on the way out.
“A real art hotel.”
Located about two long blocks from the Zwinger and thus from most tourist destinations, the Art'otel is a comfortable, convenient, quiet place with a focus on contemporary design. The entire hotel is decorated with prints and paintings by the major 20th-21st century German artist A.R.Penck, who is from Dresden. Most of these are brightly colored compositions of stick figures of men in various activities that sometimes suggest an anti-war sentiment, appropriate for the city of Dresden. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was interestingly designed, with a free-standing circular sink, circular shower, and mirror walls. My only complaint was that there was no soap dish in the shower. The staff were cheerful and helpful, answering all our questions. We had free wifi. Parking is under the building, which is also covenient. The nearest restaurants outside the hotel are a couple of blocks away.
“Convenient and comfortable”
A modern hotel, with friendly, weloming reception staff having an excellent command of English. Room slightly odd - reasonable size and comfortable beds. Limited storage space. Bathroom all mirrors (not a great idea after a heavy night). Breakfast standard - same as everywhere else - buffet. 20 minute easy stroll to all the sights of Dresden. No risk of getting lost. We would certainly come back.
“Great location”
The art'otel is very conveniently located for a trip to Dresden. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Zwinger, the Semper Opera and just a little further to the Frauenkirche. Trams 10 and 11 stop close by as well. The hotel is very comfirtable with good sized rooms. The only, minor, criticisms are that the wardrobe space is barely adequate and the only mirrors are in the bathroom. The staff are really friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The restaurant has a limited menu but the quality is very good. Highly recommended.
“Good Hotel with good ubication”
The Art Hotel is a very moderm Hotel walking distance to the main atractions of the city. Good Hotel for the money.
“Loved it”
This very chic modern hotel is fun because it picks up all kinds of very avant garde touches in design, and makes them serve the traveller's comfort. The bed was great, and air conditioning worked perfectly, ditto hot water, wireless connections, etc. People were helpful and friendly, the location was marvellous--just far enough from the "old city" that you were in convenient walking and public transport distance, but not overwhelmed with tourist traffic.
“Art'otel in Dresden was great”
I stayed at the Art otel for one week. The staff was very accommodating. Great breakfast in the morning. Drawbacks: small beds (standard European) and only English channel on TV was CNN. What the heck, I should be out seeing the sights! If you like Ian Schrager type hotel, you will LOVE the Art otel.
“Great Hotel, came back to it.”
Modern rooms, careful design, great comfort. Not enough room for clothes for a long stay. Perfect for a few days, well located.
