“Pleasant Hotel”
The hotel was everything I had expected from a 4 star accommodation. We didnt eat in the restaurant, so I cannot comment on their food, but apart from the room feeling a little bit cold, (it kind of warmed up after a little while), our stay was very pleasant. The staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. They also have a sister hotel across the road, which as a guest you are allowed to use their facililtes i.e the sauna, indoor swimming pool and gym etc. We only stayed for 1 night, but next time we are in Bournemouth, I would book this hotel again.

“Disappointed”
The hotel was in a good position and in good condition. Unfortunately there was little nevidence of supervision or mamagement of the staff. We had some unacceptable situations. A competent manager could correct the problems.
“clean but old fashioned”
The hotel was in a great location on the cliff top but unless you get one of the sea view rooms this can only be appreciated from the bar. we had a room right at the back on the mostly quiet road that runs parallel to the sea front. It was a bit dark but comfortable, the bath room was a good size. Quite expensive for what we got, and we got it cheaper thanks to expedia. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the evening drinks on the balcony were a delight. The dining room was ok for breakfast, which was extensive and well cooked, but not somewhere where we wanted to dine in the evening, Tien Thai on the west cliff served great food in a rather busy/noisy, twas saturday night, restaurant. Russell coates museum just down the road from the hotel is a must-see. a lovely weekend in bournemouth although the hotel was not the special one we wanted.
“Not bad, but not great”
We used this hotel to break the journey from Cornwall to London. Hotel itself is lovely, walking distance to town centre, and has great views over cliffs. I have two issus thoug: 1) the shower was one of the worst I've encountered with no pressure and minimal temprature control, and 2) the windows and walls must be made of paper as they had no noise insulation properties at all.
“not impressed”
The hotel overall was very poor considering what we paid for it - in our room (a 3rd floor seaview room) our seats were very badly stained they looked shocking to the point we could not sit in them - then we decided to go to the restaruant for dinner which was another experience seeing they had run out of most items on the menu plus if you did stay there was a minimum 45 minute wait so we went next door to the Carlton and had our meal. Would not reccomend this hotel to anyone. I am an Aussie and am use to living rough in the bush but this was not up to standard give me a camp fire and a sleeping bag as I would of been more comfortable absolute crap
