The Hermitage is an officially accredited AA 4 star hotel, with arguably the best location in Bournemouth. Situated next to the pier and beach and directly opposite the Bournemouth International Centre and Pavilion. Onsite parking & Wifi are, unusually for 4 star hotels in Bournemouth, complimentary for guests. All rooms are well appointed rooms, many have stunning sea views. Hardy’s restaurant holds an AA rosette for culinary excellence and there is .a spacious comfortable lounge & bar area offering light meals and snacks. Room service is 24 hours; an impressive choice awaits you at breakfast including Full English & continental.
Many of the bedrooms at The Hermitage have sea views, all have a private bathrooms and an LCD TV with Freeview. Rooms also feature a hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities and a trouser press.
Just 5 minutes’ walk through the lower gardens takes you to central Bournemouth’s cosmopolitan shops and cafes; The Hermitage Hotel is 150 metres from the Oceanarium. Sandbanks, with its popular marina, can be reached in 10 minutes’ by car and Poole centre is a 15-minute drive away, we are 12 minutes driving from Bournemouth Airport and 5 minutes from the Coach and Train Stations

“Better than the Royal Bath?”
Personally, I think so, Friendly efficient staff, excellent location, comfortable room and great breakfasts topped off with complimentary parking and internet access....De Vere, eat your heart out!
“happy mum!”
I booked the Hermitage for my mum to have a much needed weekend break in Bournemouth. it lived up to the reviews, she said the location was ideal (she has arthritis so is slowing up now), everything was on the doorstep. the bath was deep, but she said it was easier than our one to manage due to the wall grips. the only thing she did say was not so good, were the male staff of an evening. she asked if the restaurant was still open, and they were a bit offhand with her. but otherwise in the morning, they were fine- so maybe just knackered staff! but she was very happy and had a really lovely time. I felt reassured she was in a safe place, and a good mix of people staying of all ages.
“Great location”
Stayed for a Saturday night. The location is great; right by the beach and the BIC and has parking. The room was comfortable and we would stay there again without hesitation.

“Amazing Sea Views - best Bournemouth location”
Excellent hotel. Quite old-fashioned style in decor, comfortable, clean and lovely staff. I'd recommend this over any other hotel in Bournemouth if you can get a sea view room, as it is the closest to the beach and right next to the gorgeous gardens. The breakfast is brilliant and I couldn't have expected anything more. Excellent value.
“Hermitage hotel bournemouth”
Everything was good about this hotel and i would go back there in future, staff were excellent hotel was clean and comfortable, it was basically on top of the beach which was ideal for my party and its 10 mins walk from everywhere in the town area.

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans une chambre familiale, 314 aux 3èmes étages (l'hôtel compte 4 étages). Belle grande chambre, vue directe sur le Pier et sur la Manche, avec une fenêtre allant du sol au plafond. Nous avons commandé le soir, au room service, quatre repas qui nous ont été servis dans le quart d'heure. Repas excellent et copieux. Le petit déjeuné était aussi excellent. La chambre avait tout pour faire du thé et du café, ceci avec biscuits. Télévision avec écran plat de bonne qualité. L'hôtel donne aussi directement sur le parc/jardin, qu'il suffit de traverser pour être dans les rues marchandes. Nous ne pouvons que recommender cet hotel.
