Our first time in Weymouth was made even more pleasurable by our hosts, Jackie and Aynsley. Really nice people who couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast is nice and always plenty more offered. Room was nice and clean, refreshments topped up daily. Bed was very comfy, that's a first! Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic guest house ...so welcoming and could not do enough for you! Owners are so attentive and really care about making your stay relaxing. We loved the extra touches like the flowers in room and chocolates, lounge area and mags/papers to relax. Breakfast was fab and had everything. Will definately return here upon visiting family.

From the outside this pub/hotel doesn't have a great deal of curb appeal, it is a very old pub door directly onto the pavement, but when you go to the back entrance there is a gravel car park a residents garden area and a general beer garden. Very pleasant area to sit and very sheltered, well maintained. It was a dog friendly place and we were made very welcome with our pet.

Welcoming staff. Excellent location - some interesting walks around the river and easy access to Dorchester, Weymouth and Portland.
Comfortable room on ground floor. Bathroom small but adequate for a short stay.
Breakfast was excellent - a lovely range of locally produced food and the Compote was to die for!
The dog-friendly pubs a short walk away [recommended by the owners of The Manor House Hotel] catered for real ale fans [at The Royal Standard] and wine enthusiasts + a very good menu at The Old Ship, a bit further away but well worth the walk.

Loved this place, once we found it (don't trust a sat nav!). Welcomed with tea and homemade cake, a beautiful room and fab breakfasts round a huge table with the other guests.
If I'm being really really picky, the only downside is that there is one average pub in walking distance, lovely places within a few minutes in the car though. But I'd give up an evening drink to stay here again!

Stayed here for just the one night on business it is located in a nice country setting with a large outdoor area which on a summers evening would be a nice place to chill.
The staff are extremely helpful and the rooms which are in a separate annex are well furnished and have a modern bathroom and interior, the food at the pub is of good quality.
One note for you mobile phone users the signal is very poor but they do offer free wifi.
