“Good value for money.”
We had a very lovely stay, the rooms were warm, clean and cosy! The staff were very helpful and the food was first class. We will stay here again.
“Spring Break 2012”
The hotel offered a good location, within easy walking distance of the West Cliff. All staff were welcoming and I couldn't fault the service my mother and I were given. The single rooms varied considerably in size but were well appointed and comfortable with both fans and extra covers provided if required. WOuld certainly stay here again and also recommend to others.
“Good and Not so Good”
Not so good Compact room, but adequate for a few days (Rm7) although the fan outside of the window was a bit annoying. Uncomfortable mattress, could feel springs, but made staff aware and mattress was replaced for remaining 2 nights - it was dissapointing that the hotel didn't carry out it's own quality checks and our first night was so uncomfortable. Good All of the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was generally very good, (coffee not so good). Leisure facilities fine, large sauna and steam rooms. Would stay again, but ask for better room.
“overnight stay”
The hotel is in an excellent location 5 minuites walk from the seafront and the city centre in an area of other similar hotels. The leisure facilities are very good and the staff very pleasant and friendly. Paying more for the beauty treatments too is a must and we spent most of our time in the gym, pool, jaquzi and 2 sauna's. The breakfast was excellent too and staff there were very attentive. We was however quite disapointed with the room. We paid extra through expedia for a superior double room promising a balcony and a large room, which we never got and to us was clearly a standard double room :( After looking on the hotels own website they said all superior rooms were on the top floor and yet we was placed on the 2nd floor with a bay window ( room 31). Asked at reception to double check was a superior room, but I fealt like we was being fobbed off. We also found 1 of the bath towels had a stain on, as did 1 of the hand towels, so had to use 1 set of towels between the 2 of us. Apart from this the hotel had a nice atmosphere, especially on the ground floor, but as soon as we got up to the 2nd floor was a bit disapointed by the decor as it was clearly 1980s decor and gave the feeling of being a little neglected and desperately needs a makeover. Overall for what we got though I would say it's a little overpriced considering we didn't get the room we paid for
“There must be better than this”
Disappointingly old fashioned hotel - full of dodgy old furniture, lame facilities and just very tired.
