Beautiful property & fab breakfast. Didn’t use all the facilities as we were exploring the area. Very little English was spoken to us, fine for me but my Mum would’ve struggled. A few more smiles from the staff would’ve been nice too

Lovely setting in modernised old mill. Very good dinner and breakfast Staff welcoming. Parking on site and near to A26. We stayed twice on this trip.

Pleasant staff and service. Nothing wrong about it
We stopped on our way back to the UK. We booked a suite which had a jaguizzi bath, which was good after a long day of touring in a car, except for a terrible noise from the motor. We thought it was value for many overnight stay. Reasonably priced set menus for dinner but nothing too special.

Lovely place for a couple
Lovely quiet and comfortable hotel. Easy to find and attractive views. We didn't use the spa facilities but had a good meal at the restaurant and the breakfast is good.

Excellent hotel
Great hotel with attentive and friendly English speaking staff. The rooms were newly refurbished and spotless. The food was really excellent. The pool was a nice place to chill. Lovely area with lots to do for couples and families.

Wardrobe was dirty and marked inside.Dinner sent back twice for being cold and then left as cold and inedible. No apologies from staff and manager at reception hadn't been told if this issue. Told at 6pm bar was open but all staff eating outside till 6.45pm then had to go and search for waiter at 7pm for drink. This is not a good or welcoming hotel.

Sur les différents points évoqués, nous avons d'ores et déjà mis en place des mesures correctives : -les placards des chambres ont été vérifiés et nettoyés le cas échéant. -le personnel de cuisine a été informé de votre mécontentement et dois dorénavant veillé à ce que les assiettes restent chaudes. -nous avons établi un roulement pour le dîner du personnel afin d'assurer une meilleure qualité de service à la réception et au bar. A special place
Our room overlooked the river which was used to drive the water wheel of the old flour mill, framed by verdant trees. Quiet, private rooms, with water rushing by, meant a perfect night’s sleep. Only one night, too short to avail of the pool and other amenities, but time to eat in a top restaurant. Negative would be no cafe/bar/restaurant/supermarket in the village - only an amusement park for kids. Hostage to the hotel without a car, as we were hiking.

Disappointing, fell short of expectations.
We chose this place to split our journey from the uk to the Alps. Firstly it's not that close to the motorway either getting to the hotel or getting back on further down. The water wheel is the main feature and the stream cutting through the grounds to join the river. The room was ok but no minibar as advertised and therefore no refrigerator to put stuff in. The wifi was also very poor and pretty much unusable even for simple non demanding applications. Evening meal was disappointing and miserly portions and poor value. Also beware this village has a theme park (thankfully closed) and the hotel is very close to a busy railway line.

Very convenient hotel on route Alps to Calais
We had not stayed here for several years but as the reviews were favourable we decided to try it again. Staff were much more helpful, showing us to our room and carrying bags. The room and bathroom were fine with the advantage of a large flatscreen tv. However the stay was marred by the unpleasant odour of drains which pervaded the corridors - fortunately not the bedroom. The standard and value of the food was good but the restaurant was understaffed with one hard-working waiter dashing around to accommodate 14 diners plus customers at the bar.

The hotel staff were excellent and the restaurant was very good however the room was tired, outside door didn't close properly and the bathroom needed upgrading. The tiles need re-grouting and generally cleaning.

The Moulin is a bit sad.
Only one other couple was staying there, and we were the only couple dining on Friday night. So where was their clientele?!!

Noisy Doors to bedrooms
The only negative point about the stay at this hotel is the doors of all rooms are not cushioned so each time a guest in the nearby rooms goes in or out, you are disturbed but the noise of the door being pulled closed which is extremely disturbing. Also you can hear the nocturnal activites of neighbouring rooms. Other than this, the rooms are nicely furnished and the garden was nice. Easy to find, clean and with friendly staff.

Good place to relax
We had a most enjoyable overnight stay on our way home from a busy week with our family. The room was comfortable and well decorated. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

The part of the hotel that houses the rooms was built in the 60's and does not have the old world charm that I was perhaps expecting. This part of the hotel is looking tired and could benefit from some refurbishment. That said the grounds were nice, the food in the restaurant was very good and the staff were excellent..

Lovely hideaway on the way to Calais.
Delightful location just far enough from the autoroute to be almost exclusive. Lovely setting with the millrace through the building. Comfortable room but not spectacular, helpful staff (particularly for storing an expensive bike!), exquisite food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Charming French Hotel!
LOVED our stay here! We were a little concerned as we drove from Germany - the surrounding towns were severely rundown, but when we turned in to the parking lot it was like finding a welcoming oasis! It was clearly a slow night as the hotel host was also serving as the restaurant waiter, but he was warm and efficient and did a wonderful job making sure everyone was well taken care of. Our room was larger than we had expected and very comfortable, obviously recently updated. We were overlooking the river & mill, and it was lovely to hear the running water through the night (we opened the windows to do this - with them closed it was completely silent). The restaurant was wonderful - we highly recommend the scallops and the desserts. Avoid the andouille sausage unless you enjoy true French country sausage, as it is very strong and "rustic". The town isn't much to speak of, but the hotel is right in the heart of the Champagne region and we were able to visit several wineries close by. Overall this was a lovely experience - I would happily stay here again, hopefully for a much longer time :)
