The front desk staff was ready to check me in within a reasonable amount of time, was incredibly courteous and considerate of my needs, and wanted to know more about my stays at other hotels. I'm so far very impressed with my stay. The room is perfect! Clean and well made with ZERO smells! This is an area most hotels lack in and I greatly appreciate the attention to detail with this! Thank you!!!

The room had a very foul musty smell to it. The bathroom floor was dirty. The pool and hot tub were black in the bottom, and the pool area itself was very musty smelling, like they don’t have enough ventilation in it. The breakfast was much to be desired.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast ran out of eggs and sausages before we got there and it took over 15 minutes for more to come out. Our room door took some jiggling to get to latch and it looked like others had the same issue. No elevator, but they offered to carry the bag up if needed.

Nice well maintained hotel.
The hotel is clean and well maintained. The service was great including the breakfast. The only negative was no elevator to the second level, so if this is an issue, get a first floor room.

if you have pets use caution !!! I booked this PET FRIENDLY hotel- there is no way to note that I have a pet in the reservation..... I was told when I got there "they had no more pet friendly rooms" and I could not have a room. I had no other options for a place to stay- and they would not budge unless I agreed to make my pet stay in the truck outside in the 45 deg rain. So I had no other options but to stay and set my alarm every hour to go check on the puppy. you are either pet friendly or NOT.... and this hotel is NOT

Owners are clearly in the process of updating the hotel. The new paint, carpets, bathroom, updates, and other additions look great. I wish them well. They are clearly working hard. Great little breakfast in the morning.

3rd annual stay
We stay here every time we go to House on the Rock. Its always been fine but this last visit was great. The woman at the front desk was training a new woman and they were both friendly and efficient. The room was a good size and very clean. There is a small pool that is half indoor and half out door that we slways get a kick out of. The breakfast is pretty average but its free and the woman tending it was very nice and it was very clean. Guy that checked me out in the morning was also very friendly. No issues at all. We will definitely be back next year.

Rooms are a little dark but otherwise the property is immaculate and nicely appointed. Good breakfast with eggs, sausage, made-to-order pancakes.

Priced a bit high on certain nights considering condition of hotel. Although the room was clean and the bedding was good, the grounds could be kept up better. Owners not as friendly as could be. Breakfast was just ok. Not too many options in this area to stay that is why we stay here.

We were in Dodgeville for the Land's End Warehouse Sale. This hotel was very clean, very spacious, in a great location and the front desk was helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend!
