“Massively impressed”

Booked a 2 night short break at Rutland Lodge, and wow, it was a fantastic choice. Very friendly welcome, beautiful & well equipped room, great kitchen facilities available and used!! Nice breakfast with home baked breads and pastries, cereals, juice and great coffee. Location was great for us - just up the road from the harbour and quiet! Highly recommended and will return

“Amazing B&B”

I would not hesitate in recomending this B&B in fact it is by far the best I have ever stayed in. I went here with my son only expecting to stay one night but it was so comfortable we stayed another night! It was like staying at a friends house, very comfortable welcoming and clean. It is only a short walking distance to the main harbour area. Home made bread in the morning is a nice touch too. I will definately be back again. Many thanks

“The best part of Torquay by miles!!”

We vistited Torquay for the first time in July 2011 and booked the Rutland Lodge via Expedia as the reviews were good and the location/price were appealing. I have to say, that for the price, this has to be the best appointed B&B I've stayed in, within the whole of the UK. The B&B is close enough to the town centre/promenade to walk to, but far enough away to be quiet and away from any rabble after a night out. It's also got it's own pub/restaurant/shops just a 3-4 min walk in the opposite direction from the town centre which is also extremely useful. The breakfast offered is a self-service continental, but is of a very high quality and offers a good choice of cereal/pastries/yoghurts/preserves etc and there isn't a strict time in which to be there for breakfast which is also nice. I would recommend this B&B to all those couples or small families wanting to visit Torquay.
