“Superb country setting”

Located only 6 miles from Plymouth the Kitley House Hotel provided an excellent over-night stop before catching the ferry to Santander. Staff were very helpful, prices were good for both food and rooms. If you are told your room is on the third floor ask for help with baggage; no lift and very narrow stairs. Some rooms are small; check on booking.

The room was very cold when we arrived and the hot water wasn't enough for a warm bath or even hot shower to warm up. However the bed was comfortable and the grounds were lovely to walk around.

“Good in Parts”

We decided to eat in the hotel for several meals which were a very good standard. The windows in our room were very dirty which spoilt the views. We told reception but nothing was done for the next 3 days of our stay which we think is unexceptable. It made use wonder about the cleanliness in other area's.
