“A first rate stay”

We found this to be an excellent hotel with very friendly staff. Appledore is a very attractive town and our view over the river was spectacular. Would return again anytime we were in the area. Everything about the hotel was fresh and clean.

“Pleasant and relaxing stay ... a hidden gem!”

Made this choice from the internet in Australia and the reality matched their advertising. Welcoming and pleasantly accommodating. Great views and ideally located in North Devon for travel around Devon and Cornwall. Stayed for four nights and we were wishing we could stay longer. Appledore is an interesting corner of the UK and Appledore House is a great location to base your travels or holidays in this part of England. Hosts were friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. Rooms, bathrooms and environment were terrific. Restaurants and local pubs had good meals, all within walking distance.

“Highly recommended”

I have spent two nights in the hotel. The room was very clean and I had a really pleasant stay. If I go again to Bideford I will certainly try to book with the same hotel.
