Underwhelming and DissapointingPosted 15-Feb-2014
Cons: Room cleanliness. Found wrappers in the closet. Dust in all lamps, behind tv. Floor could have been vacuumed better. More bath towels. Bathrobes.
The room amenities that I requested were not available. I asked to have it corrected, but they were unable to do it. Room was ok, not worth the money they are charging for it. You get better room and amenities across the street at Motor City Casino. Would I return here? Chances are no, especially is MCC is available.

Very nice hotel. Excellent customer service.Posted 15-Feb-2014
Pros: Restaurants on casino floor.
Cons: Bed Mattresses need to be firmer. They were too soft and felt like you were sinking into the bed.
Had a great stay for 3 nights at the MGM. Would highly recommend the hotel for its customer service and comfort factor.

Hotel and CasinoPosted 26-Jan-2014
Both the hotel and casino were very nice. When in the hotel you didn't feel you were in a casino. Separate enough to give you a 4 star hotel feeling.

Staff was very friendly. Brought out hot chocolate for everyone while we were waiting in line to check in. Restaurants were great. Only problem was you had to walk through casino to get to them & the smell of smoke was horrendus. Great music at Int Ice after 9. The only complaint about the room was the room was a king size bed but the bed was definitely not king. Had a great view of the river & ambassador bridge.

Great experience for a date night.Posted 13-Jan-2014
Pros: The staff is excellent, making you feel welcome, and giving a full level of service.
Location: The casino is a lot of fun, and there are plenty of restaurant choices. On this stay we ate at Wolfgagn Puck Steak. The meal was excellent.
We stayed at the MGM Grand for our anniversary. We went with the Grand Players package, and that comes with $50 each in Casino credit, and $100 restaurant credit. From the valet opeining your door, to the front desk people, to the bell hops, everyone has a great attitude and makes you feel welcome. There are a number of restaurant choices, and we have previously used the spa for massages. Overall, its a great escape for a couple. It makes you feel like you are miles and miles away from home, even though you are only 20 minutes from home.

Decent hotelPosted 25-Dec-2013
Pretty upset about no public spa in the pool area. This was the one main thing I was looking forward too

Great hotel close to Ford FieldPosted 18-Dec-2013
Pros: Great gaming and dining options. Security at the door leading to hotel elevators from the casino, which minimized access to hotel guests only.
Cons: We tried to get a spa appointment on Sunday but nothing was available. Spa receptionist did not offer to call me back if there was a cancellation.
Location: Don't miss the Ford Museum located about a 15 minute drive from the hotel in Dearborn. Well worth the time and money.
We stayed at the MGM Grand Detroit for 3 days. In Detroit for the Ravens/Lions game. The staff knew we were Ravens fans and were still extremely friendly and considerate. The concierge (Brandon?) was awesome!! We arrived in Detroit in heavy snow via car and were supposed to pick up our kids at the airport, but the roads were so bad that we didn't want to make the drive. Brandon arranged for a car service in about 5 minutes flat and the company he used was fantastic....kids made it to the hotel safe and sound in a big SUV. The restaurants were all very good so we were able to stay put and out of the weather. Rooms were so nice and very comfortable. The night of the game the valet arranged for us to get over to the game in a limo. Thanks so much! Great stay, highly recommend.

Romantic GetawayPosted 4-Dec-2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed in 3 different hotels while in Detroit and kept the best for last. A bit pricey, but it is a five Star. Was disapointed with Wolgang Puck restaurant; was expecting better.

not child friendlyPosted 3-Dec-2013
Pros: Rooms and valet parking attendants
Cons: more child friendly
we were a late arrival due to holiday traffic and lake weather. Children were hungry, arrived at hotel at 10pm, however, restaurant wouldn't allow children into restaurant after 10pm, even though we were on the road for 10 hrs, kids starving, we were exhausted and to get turned down just to get some food, was not very happy at all!!! Our children were 11 & 9 yr old boys, well behaved, we travel a lot with them!
