“Good times”
My fiance and I celebrated our engagement in Windsor on New Year's Eve, and chose this motel for the price. So glad we chose this specific hotel! The cutest couple runs the place, which is very quaint and very cozy. The room was clean, but had a few cobwebs and such from lack of use I suppose. The guests were not as rowdy as guests at Windsor motels usually are, which was excellent for us. So if you're looking for a place to party, this isn't your best bet. If you're looking for a place to relax, this is definitely it.
“Reasonable Place to stay”
First the good, it has an outdoor pool with diving board, the room was clean,it had a refrig.,microwave,tv,free local calls, shampoo and soap, free wireless internet, and an extra pillow. The bad, maid service was done only once during my 4 night stay, had to ask for clean towels and wash clothes, but they were recieved with on problem, you had to push hard to close the door and latch the dead bolt, the door uses only keys, not key cards, no elevator but its only 2 stories, only had 1 roll of toilet paper and outside noise gets in very easily. But for the price its worth what you pay. Id recommend it to budget travelers.
“Definately will stay again”
We stayed at Devonshire for a weekend to visit the casino and the clubs, granted the hotel was a bit out of date and somewhat dirty, it was perfect for our purposes. We needed a shower and a bed to sleep in because we didn't spend much time in the room. Overall, the owners were amazing and even offered us a ride downtown to avoid cab costs (about 13 bucks) so that was incredibly nice. They also called us to see if we needed anything and were generally very nice. Cheap price, good location, probably your best bet if you come to Windsor to go out clubbing.
“Oldie but goodie.”
Good service and friendly faces, clean room and beding. "Weak areas" Room items were well worn, and mostly 40 years old or older, bathroom sink and tub right out of the 50's ( light blue )Entrance door lock area was half gone.No electrical outlets around bed area ( had to go out and buy entenshion cord for wifes breathing machine (11 p.m. in the rain at a drug store)
“Excellent Motel for the Price.”
This was one of the cheapest motels I could find that was somewhat close to Casino Windsor (only about 5km away). The area surrounding the motel was nicer then the area around the casino. The service was outstanding, but the bathtub faucet leaked and the toilet sometimes wouldn't stop running. The rooms were very clean, however a bit old. I guess it's what you get for paying half the price of a hotel near the casino.
“Good cheap place to stay!”
Had breakfast at restaraunt and was fantastic. Motel room was clean when entered, but not much space to put belongings in. Good stay overall
“Nice Place to Relax”
The hotel is situated close to all the attractions and malls. The room was clean and had a refrigerator, although theres no mandatory daily cleaning of the room. If you request it they will do it and bring you towels and toliet paper only when asked. This is a no frills hotel. The onsite resturant is good and there's free parking and a pool w/diving board. I would stay again as a budget traveler. Nice owners too.
“You get what you pay for”
Our door had a crack in it, so you can basically hear everything going on outside (not good for 5 in the morning). The windows on the curtains didn't even cover them all. The bathroom floor is so easy to flood because all that is covering the water from the shower is a flimsy curtain. The water pressure on the sink isn't good. I think the only good part was the free wireless internet and the location of the motel. The couple that owns it is really nice though. In short, I wouldn't stay here again.
“No Frills place to stay...”
While the accomodations leave alot to be desired, the manager, Mike, could not have been nicer and accomodating when asked for something. If you are accustomed to the "high life" and being pampered, then this is NOT the place for you to stay...
“You get what you pay for”
This hotel was the cheapest in the area and it showed. Though the room was clean, it definitely needed updating and fixing up. It would be worth spending $25-50 more and getting something nicer.
