    Turkey Hotel Guide

Turkey is a country that is unique in the sense that it is technically located on two different continents; it spans from Southeastern Europe to Western Asia, with the Turkish Straits partially separating the two regions. There is a lot to see and do in Turkey, especially for those who have an interest in ancient ruins and historical architecture. If you plan on taking a trip to the fascinating country in the near future, you may want to book Turkey hotels and any other necessary accommodations for your travels soon to ensure the best rates by finding a cheap Turkey hotel deal.

For those who want to check out the ancient ruins of Turkey, there are a couple of must-see attractions. For starters, the capital city of Hattusas houses a number of ancient ruins from the Hittites, the earliest people known to have settled in Turkey. These ruins date back as far as 2000 B.C. Another great place to visit is the Aegean Coast of Turkey where remnants of past settlements such as the infamous Ephesus can be found. By searching online ahead of time with Expedia, travellers can find great deals on hotels in Turkey near these popular cities.

Those who have an affinity for architecture will love exploring Turkey. One must-see attraction for any visitor to Turkey is the Cappadocian area of the country where travellers can explore actual underground cities, churches, and houses that were built by early Christians who lived quietly to avoid persecution. There are also some magnificent tombs built by settlers such as the Lycians. These can still be visited and are in relatively good condition in the city of Lycia on the Western coast of the country, so many visitors locate Turkey hotel deals in this city and explore it for a couple of days.

Of course, there is plenty to do for those who are not history buffs as well. Travellers who visit during warmer months of the year can enjoy a relaxing time on Turkey's many Mediterranean beaches while those who visit during the colder months can take part in a number of popular winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding. Regardless of the time of year one travels to Turkey, booking Turkey hotel packages that include room reservations and other accommodations is wise.

If Turkey sounds like a great destination for your next trip, what are you waiting for? Now is a great time to search for and find the top prices and special savings on hotel rooms. By searching for cheap hotel deals in Turkey and jumping at the chance to make reservations on discount rooms, you can make the most out of your stay.

    "Not bad but not wonderful."
I decided to book this hotel based on the description and thinking it should be an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. We were welcomed by a very kind and attentive receptionist, Hakan. We were very pleased. I didn't like the fact that the hotel doesn't just ask for a credit card as a guarantee but they also take €100 as a guarantee. The room was very comfortable even when the decoration is a bit antiquated. The room was supposed to have 'coffee making machine' but it didn't. There was a kettle and tea bags. The bathroom was a bit old for such a hotel. There were some cracked tiles and some discoloured stains on the floor. It was extremely clean though. During check out I was asked to pay for the room, when it was a prepaid booking. I asked to change the charges, as the receptionist did but even so he promised to send a fax to the bank for the €100 guarantee, but no proof of such thing was given to me. I am not satisfied. I don't like such treatment and I didn't like the hassle. I will certainly visit Istanbul again but won't stay in this hotel.

"Very comfortable hotel near main sights"
All staff could not have been more helpful or nicer - the best service we've ever experienced. The hotel airport transfer was very effective as traffic was unbelievably heavy full of traffic jams - 30 Euro was well worth it. Wonderful position in Sultanhamet and safe for two ladies on our own. Close to main sights, restaurants etc.

    "Charming, historic hotel"
If you're visiting Antalya for the history and scenic charm, this is the sort of hotel you want, rather than the big, expensive beach resorts. It's in the old city, in walking distance of just about everything, and it's a lovely old building that has been exquisitely preserved and decorated. The hotel staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful. My one minor complaint was that our room was a little chilly, but in February that can't be helped.

"Great amenities and location : exceptional staff"
Despite the crazy complexities of our extended stay at a Tuvana, the staff was consistently warm, cheerful and exceptionally attentive while maintaining a sense of humour, which in our case was essential. We loved our room and there was plenty of room to do my morning yoga routine. I would return here happily.

    "Stunning surrounds"
We spent 5 days enjoying what the Puding Marina and Kaleici had to offer and could have easily much spent longer! The facilities on offer at the Puding Marina were of a 5 star standard and the location is spot on overlooking the old town harbour- it was amazing value for money! The complimentary breakfast had everything you could ask for (i.e. continental, cooked and Turkish options) and the evening meal we enjoyed in the adjoining Patio restaurant was delicious (shame no one else was enjoying it!). We enjoyed sunbathing in the pool area (unfortunately the pool bar was yet to open- apparently 1st May) and tried out the gym/hammam options. The residence/hotel/resort consists of a number of separate 3 storey buildings overlooking the pool area. My only complaint would be that upon arrival we were shown to a large, airy room on the top floor of a building only to find twin beds, when I had specified a double room in the booking. Upon pointing this out we were told to wait and they would see what they could do. After about 5-10 mins we were told a double room had been found but this was back in the reception building. We were then shown to a smaller, darker room above the reception area which as we later discovered backed into the kitchen of the Patio restaurant- which made for a 9am wake up call of banging pots and pans and the echo of people checking out with their luggage (courtesy of spacious marble reception hall)! If we had had a better bed and better room I'd give it 5/5.
