“Great - newly refurbed hotel”

“EXCELLENT HOTEL * EXCELLENT PRICE”
I often stay in derby and have always avoided this hotel assuming it would be too expensive. it turned out to be one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Lovely large room, clean, comfortable and VERY good value
“Stunning value”
I walked into this hotel with high expectations. Once I crossed the threshold, I was utterly shocked. "This isn't what I paid for," I thought, "I'm in the wrong hotel." Everything was smooth, warm, welcoming, and superb; from the decor, to the comfort, staffing, and style. At such a great price, I felt like I'd paid twice. Only a stone's throw from the train station, with the taxi rink literally in front of it, with town a short walk down the road, pubs and restaurants on the way, you can't be any more ideally located for the traveling visitor. Having worked in 5* accommodation, the only thing I could find missing, is that the toilet paper wasn't folded into the origami of privileged smugness. Absolutely nothing else was missing. Except maybe a view, but no-one booking in the center of the city should be expecting one. You shouldn't need any other reviews - if the price you're looking at is approximate to the competition as mine was (better, even), don't even hesitate; you're wasting your brain on a pointless indecision. This is the hotel you're looking for.
“Hallmark Hotel, Derby”
We have stayed in this hotel a few times now, always on an overnight basis. The room was spacious and spotless as usual and the staff are always friendly and polite. There is a good selection of cooked / continental breakfast items and also additional items such as porridge, poached eggs etc. that can be ordered upon request from the breakfast menu. We have never eaten an evening meal at the hotel, but the room service menu always looks tempting!
“Not at all disappointing”
Much much improved from last visit. Very welcoming and friendly. Only complaint was very creaky floor boards in room which may well have disturbed occupants of room below when moving about.
“Great hotel next to rail station”
Very good service and hotel. Next to the Rail Station and walking distance to City Centre and Westfield. Good vaule for money. I go back regularly.

Stayed in an excutive double room which was spacious and quiet. Food in the restaurant was great. Overall very happy with my choice of hotel.
“Download 2009”
Stayed in this hotel as too old to do the camping thing at festivals thesedays!! The hotel was very nice, clean, but there were a few bits of decor in the room that I felt could have finished off better than they were but otherwise a great place to stay and the food was great. V central for the railway station (and shuttle bus to the festival - if I'd known that before I wouldn't have bought a parking ticket for the 3 days!!)
“Good local, service could have been better”
Great location next to rail station and walking distance to city centre. Lovely hotel and well kept. Service at reception was poor, had to wait to both check in (only one person) and check out (no one at desk for ages) and no apology for wait. Otherwise staff were very friendly.
