Good location, that's about it...

Posted 14-Apr-2015
Hotel Teatro was in a good location downtown near shopping and dinning. We walked everywhere, including the Pepsi Center. The staff were friendly and helpful (front desk and valet crew). However, the room was small - a bit disappointing. The bed was very small for two (small queen or a full size). There was no checkout time posted on the back of the door (as customary). Cable TV went out for a time, not sure why. The Hotel has no Business Center to print a boarding pass (they offered to do it for us at the front desk in the back office - no thank you). The lobby elevators are split by the stairs making it difficult to know an elevator arrived. Another elevator by the front desk is for "service only" however it is not marked with a sign. There is no vending machine for a cold drink, leaving us to buy an 8oz Diet Coke for $4 at the lobby. The Nickel Restaurant/Bar was overpriced, we didn't bother eating there. The Library Bar was nice, but $40 for two 2-shot drinks seemed overpriced. I think the Hotel Teatro is a "wanna-be" fine high-end hotel, however is really just an overpriced regular hotel in downtown Denver. Consider other options before booking...

I very rarely write a hotel review, but I couldn't have been happier with this hotel. It was across the street from the Four Seasons, where my conference was, and 1/2 the price.

Excellent service!

Posted 6-Apr-2015
Pros: It was in walking distance to downtown and a service car was available to take us to the Pepsi Center later that evening.
Cons: We wished there had been a continental breakfast but loved the Keurig in the room.
From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the service was outstanding. The guys at the front door were friendly and treated us so well. This friendly approached continued at the front desk. Furthermore, we were greeted with a cheery "good morning" as we were leaving our room to check out. We loved this place!

Convenient; great car service; and very friendly staff. I was able to check in early; the rate was very good and I enjoyed my stay a great deal.

Consistently elegant

Stayed at Teatro off and on over the years. Always treated well and liked the rooms. Hate the $49 valet parking. Don't even want to tip the poor guy.

beautiful room in the city center

Posted 1-Apr-2015
Pros: Loved the decor, the friendly staff, the location, the menu, the bathroom (really loved the bathroom), and the cozy comfort offered by the room.
Cons: The endlessly leaky shower! The bathroom was beautiful and the glass shower certainly adds to the effect, but puddles are no fun to step in.
Location: I think my favorite nearby spot was the Euclid Hall Bar and Kitchen.
I was extremely pleased to receive such a welcoming greeting from the staff. The concierge desk was extremely helpful in guiding me from the airport to the hotel, and the front desk staff were very cheerful and helpful. The hotel itself does not lack for charm, and the room was very comfortable, clean, and bright. I had a great nights sleep, a lovely soak in the deep bathtub, and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious options on the breakfast menu. I wish I could have stayed longer and taking advantage of the bicycles and other amenities the Hotel Teatro has to offer!

We loved this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. We could walk to great restaurants. The bathroom with soaker tub was awesome!
