“Extremely friendly and helpful with everything!”
I couldn't have asked for me. I had all my questions answered and they were more than willing to help with whatever I needed. They were able to accomidate the late flight and the early departure. It was absolutely splendid...and so close to everything downtown. It is a wonderful place! Stay there!
“Very enjoyable stay”
Very pleasant stay at the Holiday Chalet. Rooms were large and comfortable and staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was available first thing in the morning and the menu would satisfy both savory and sweet tastes. Location is close to downtown business area and convention center, so I'll definitely make a point of staying here if I'm back on business (this time was leisure!).
“Very pleasant”
This was like being a guest in someone's home. I enjoyed the breakfast room, meeting the other visitors and chatting with the owner and Charlie, the handyman The bus stop was right out front and took me to one block from the convention center, couldn't have been more convenient.
“charming”
This B&B had comfortable beds, a great shower, and a helpful staff. The owner was a great help. A late check-in request was easily managed. The neighborhood behind the B&B is quite nice. The street it is on, at that part, is "colorful". The house itself was broken into efficiency apartments before it was a B&B, so our room had a complete kitchen. This would be great if you were tired of eating out.
“Would definitely stay here the next time in Denver. Breakfast was excellent naf the staff great!”
Excellent
“A great value”
The Holiday Chalet was great and had real personality! Breakfast was made fresh daily, to my choosing, and was delicious. Best of all, the bed was the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel.
“Pleasant Surprise”
When you see the address and know a bit about Denver you wonder if this is where you should stay. Don't let the address scare you away. The hotel staff is WONDERFUL. The location is convenient but the adjacent blocks are a bit dodgy. That said, we had no issues/concerns about safety. Our room was a full studio plus sitting area. It was comfortable and had room to spread out. The courtyard as pleasant and made you feel like you were in a private home. Breakfast was delightful -- made to order with a host of choices. We couldn't have been more pleased. We would absolutely recommend a stay -- whether just a night or a full week.
“loved it”
we were made to feel completely comfortable, loved the personality of the entire B&B. the innkeeper was the best. great breakfast, great company around the breakfast table.
“Cute as a button”
This is an historic Victorian building, formerly efficiency apartments converted to a B&B 50 years ago. My room had a kitchen, a turrety room sitting area, and the decor was darling. My two little complaints were (1) the window coverings were lace curtains so not much privacy or darkening the room and (2) the radiators gurgled and made steam locomotive sounds all night. Wouldn't be a factor in warmer weather, and you'd have the use of the cute garden as well. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Location is funky but easy to get around.
“Beautiful Victorian in a not-so-beautiful area”
We had a great 3rd floor suite in this hotel. The quaint kitchenette was a real bonus. Breakfast the first day was very good, but on the second day the staff seemed distracted by family members who were there and we felt the breakfast wasn't as good as the first day. The area is VERY noisy. We wanted to leave the windows open for the breezes, but my husband couldn't sleep. The house is beautiful with an interesting history. It was reasonably priced but I would probably choose someplace else to stay in Denver in the future.
