Comfortable with an indoor pool

Posted 11-Nov-2014
Pros: pool, comfortable, breakfast
Cons: check the doors and rehang or replace the ones that are broken. Fix the spa.
Location: Location is excellent. Right off 36 and you can get on most highways easily (you cannot get on I76)
We were given our room and it smelled like cigarettes, so we called the front desk and he said "but it costs $200 if you smoke!" Well we weren't the ones smoking, so he upgraded us to a jacuzzi suite (which was very nice). The hotel is old and needs some serious renovation though. Our door had a hard time opening and you could see it was coming off the hinges. We also had a hard time closing the door because it was barely hung. We were there 4 nights. The maid service was excellent, the pool clean (dated, but clean). The spa wasn't open but it also didn't look like anyone even cared to fix whatever problem it had. Breakfast was actually pretty good and the ladies who ran that section did a fantastic job in keeping everything stocked.

Comfort Inn, Westminster Co

Posted 11-Nov-2014
Pros: The pillows were nice.
Cons: Everything but their pillows.
Location: Not in a very nice area
We pretty much knew we were not going to be happy with the Comfort Inn when we walked in the door. Seemed old and dirty. When we got to our room it smelled. The paint was peeling off the wall in the shower. When you sat on the mattress you could feel the wire edge of the mattress. (think it is time for new ones) The mirror over the desk had not been cleaned for quite some time. My husband wrote with his finger "Please Clean Me". We were suppose to stay 4 nights but there was no way we were going to. So we checked out next morning to stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites. Great Place! Expedia was great with everything. Thank you.

Disappointing

Posted 6-Nov-2014
Pros: Breakfast; location
Cons: Fix phones, Wi-Fi signal, exercise equipment. Counsel cranky employees.
My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. When I checked into my room, the Wi-Fi was not working. When I tried to call the desk to inquire about the Wi-Fi situation, the room's phone was not working. When I informed the staff about the phone situation, they asked if I wanted it fixed at some point. I said yes, but 4 days later, the phone was still non-functional. Wi-Fi works sporadically, was difficult to access in upstairs rooms (weak signal), and was abysmally slow to the point of being non-useable. So beware if you need internet access for business purposes. I tried to use the exercise room, but the treadmill and exercise bike were broken. Some of the front desk staff were polite while others were clearly annoyed at being pulled away from their smartphones and tablets. The breakfast was good, but I made the mistake of trying to turn on the TV in the breakfast room early one morning to listen to the news (because there were no newspapers) and got yelled at by the cranky hotel staff lady for using the remote incorrectly. I make frequent trips to the Westminster area, but will never be staying at this hotel again.

Grest place. Highly recommend.

Nice, clean hotel. Very quiet. Good breakfast. Was able to sleep without earplugs. Plenty of good restaurants and shops nearby. Only a minute off highway.

Loud as can be.

Posted 27-Oct-2014
Pros: TV channel selection was very good.
Cons: Pretty much everything could stand an improvement here.
Location: Not a whole lot to do in Denver - especially Westminster.
I stayed in this hotel for a total of 11 days. I booked this hotel because of the competitive pricing, but I should have spent a little bit more for a better hotel. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that your neighbor is doing. On both side, and above and below! My room was right above the "fitness center" as well, so I was disturbed by loud banging of weights all evening long - many times even past the posted closing hours of the "fitness center". Also, the hotel is right across the street from the freeway and about half a block away from a railroad. The train would pass by all day and all night long - even at 2 in the morning - blasting it's horn. The vibrations from the track were so strong I could feel the rumble from my hotel room. This would last for at least 5 minutes while the train passed.... Terrible. The staff was friendly and tried to help, but what could they do? Just a very cheaply built hotel. The hallways and stairwells were very dirty. The room was acceptable and fairly clean. The toilet looked dirty at first, but it was just very worn. Needs to be replaced.

It is a bit out of the way and they do not provide any shuttle service. The hotel itself was good

Just okay

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Remove the stains and get some better windows on the side of highway 36.
The room had stains on the floor and the bed, you could hear traffic off 36 and the breakfast was just okay. Good in a pinch but would not recommend this hotel.

Does not match description on the internet.

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: Courteous and helpful staff.
Cons: Update the internet description. Make sure the facility is secure.
The hotel did not have the roll-away beds that are mentioned on the internet, making our sleeping arrangements difficult. They also came into the room and cleaned when we hung the DO NOT DISTURB sign up. Our room keys were EASILY deactivated, and the outside door next to our room was not secure. It would not lock, and anyone off the street could enter. The only redeeming qualities were the courteous staff, free breakfast and NO BED BUGS.
