Great hotel.

Very quiet, clean, with nicely lit wide halls. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here the night before I left my daughter at UNT. The hotel was clean. Staff was excellent. Location convenient. Plan to stay here every time I come to Denton, if there is availability.

Nice hotel

Pros: It is clean and modern.
Cons: Would prefer to have a complimentary breakfast instead of having to pay.
I stayed only one night, but the hotel was clean and staff were friendly. No complaints!

Super clean room and comfy beds! We had a late check-in so I called ahead to notify the staff and it was no problem.

Texas Weekend Getaways

Met my BFF for a 4 day getaway in July 2014. Chose Denton Tx.. my grandmother's hometown to get some R&R and reminisce! Thoroughly enjoyed the Hilton and its location, friendly accommodating staff, refreshing snacks and relaxing pool!

We only stayed for one night. But the hotel was very nice, with very friendly desk associates both morning and evening. The breakfast was included with our rate, and was very nice - a nice selection of any breakfast item you could imagine. Their wait staff was very helpful and bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. The hotel isn't too far from the freeway, which is a positive as it's close when you need access, but negative since you can hear the traffic. Request a room in the back of the hotel if you would rather not hear it. As for the 4 stars in "condition or maintenance", that's only because their whirlpool wasn't working and that bummed my kids out. The pool was very nice and clean though, with very nice lounge furniture. I would stay here again.

I thought the hotel was very nice and enjoyed my stay. However, when asked what I wanted for breakfast I replied 8 sausages. The cook told me he would not give me eight and that if he did he was only cooking four at a time. I was extremely upset with his attitude and have never been told at a sit to eat restaurant that I could not have what I ordered. I was told I would be contacted on the Monday following my stay and have not heard from anyone. I was told that they were going to give me a free night at the hotel, but again haven't heard from anyone.

Looks nice, but comfort was lacking

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: Decorations and the A/C was cold. Price was good.
Cons: Toss the Sleep Number mattresses and install good medium firmness mattresses.
Location: My daughter goes to school at UNT. We visited the Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, and a great Vietnamese restaurant near the city center.
When we arrived the place looked nice. Very well decorated. The breakfast was nice and worth the money. The hallway to the room was super cold. The only real complaint was the mattresses. They are Sleep Number mattresses. I didn't adjust it as when I am ready to go to bed they only thing I have energy to figure out is setting the alarm clock. The setting was firm, which is what I like. However, I woke to find myself in a hole the shape of my body. These mattresses are a bad idea. I know why they put them in hotel, because everyone is different. But these things would seem to make everyone miserable.

Always enjoy staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, consistently good experience. Good breakfast (included with our room rate), clean and comfortable room, beautiful and relaxing lobby. Probably the least friendly staff we have encountered staying at Hilton Garden Inns over many years. Recommended.
